About this property

3 bed bungalow in Keswick. Nicely furnished with lovely views and outdoor space.

Pinecroft has an eclectic style of contemporary and traditional to create a relaxing environment for all to enjoy after a day on the fells or just staying in and reading a good book. Owner enjoys collecting original art with many paintings to enjoy. Accommodation consists of large open plan kitchen / diner, large living room, 2 double and one single bedroom, main bathroom and small ensuite. The main bathroom has a lovely bath and large 'walk in' shower area. A regular comment from many guests is that Pinecroft feels like a home. Outside there is ample off street parking, mature gardens all around, BBQ area and bike shelter with anchor points. there is a lovely fish pond (parents see below) and ample patio space providing plenty of scope for spending time outside. Views from the dining area are wonderful as you look over Keswick to towards Grisedale Pike where the sun sets. NEW - In November 2023 we have created a large level patio area that extends from the driveway up to and around the property, this is a major improvement with beautiful new slip resistant paving making the access step free (see photo's) and much easier for those with mobility concerns.

Child safety - For the reassurance of parents, the large pond is less than 3 feet at its deepest, it is raised above ground level and has shrubs etc all around making it difficult for anyone to enter the water which is also very clear. Some large fish call it home. Other water feature / pond is also raised and only 6-8 inches deep.

Future improvements - During 2024 owner has plans to further improve the out door space with an enclosed garden area (not yet done).

Cosy, comfy cottage. We were able to walk from the door to the fells and down into the village. Excellent.

Perfect
Couldn’t have been better. The property had everything you could need. We loved the well stocked board game cupboard and sky tv! It was really clean & cozy. The garden space looked lovely - unfortunately we arrived in December so couldn’t enjoy it but I imagine in summer it would be perfect. Good views from the property. It’s about 15 minute walk into Keswick, but a few minutes drive. We will definitely book again!

Wonderful stay in Keswick
We had a great stay in Keswick at this property. The house is a short walk from the centre of the town and also near an entry point into the Keswick to Threlkeld cycle path which is a great walk along the river and away from from the traffic. The property was just what we needed. Well equipped, spacious and with a good outside space which was used as we had some good weather. The front of the house is near a main road, but sitting in the lounge at the back you couldn’t hear any road noise. The drive way at the back of the house has plenty of space (could probably fit 4 standard sized cars) so parking for the 2 cars we had was ample. Lovely property, would certainly look to rebook here if/when we head back to The Lakes. Communication with the owner when needed was first rate.

About the host

Born in Keswick many years ago, returning home in the early nineties after serving in the British Army, I am now the owner of a local business offering mid to high end furnishings from paint to fitted kitchens. Great pride is taken as year on year I improve Pinecroft to ensure my guests are pleased with their choice. Try to keep it relaxed and meet guests on arrival if I can.

Why they chose this property

If relaxation is high on your list of priorities then Pinecroft is for you. Spacious living accomodation on one level plus lots of out door space and parking make Pinecroft a nice place to be whatever the weather. A 20 minute walk along the old railway line / footpath will take you into town or jump on a bus at the nearby bus stops, Penrith - Keswick and Keswick to Ambleside. No need to drive yet far enough away from the hussle of a busy town if you want to chill.

What makes this property unique

Pinecroft is deceptive as it is tucked away in its own gardens. It has been designed deliberately for relaxation with quality fittings throughout. The large walk in shower is lovely and refreshing and the steel bath allows for a long soak if you prefer. The bath even acts as a speaker for your music (ask owner). Original paintings on every wall to be admired. Outside there are different areas to sit and enjoy the sunshine. BBQ area is quite unique, designed and built by the owner in 2022.
