We have had the most wonderful week in "The Attic". Rapallo, what a wonderful place to spend a Holiday!! The Appartment is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Franca: such a lovely lady, who has gone to great lengths to ensure this has been a "WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE".... We see nothing to improve upon. Jan + Rob (UK) June 2014

We have had a fantastic time in this apartment, every thing is wonderful. Great base and good to have a lift to the top floor! So easy to get around from here. The apartment is exceptionally well kitted out and the decor is amazing - love the art work. We see nothing to improve on. Best wishes for the future. Love Margaret and Ken Glasgow,Scotland July 2014

We had a wonderful week here in Rapallo. Really appreciated Franca's very warm welcome. Visited some lovely out-of-the-way places, over the walks on the Portofino Promontory and behind the Church at Montallegro at the end of the cable car ride. Of course, Genoa + Cinque Terre want a visit and very easy on the train. We didn't use our car this week!!!!! Thank you, Franca, for letting us stay in your lovely flat.

Franca made us most welcome to the "Attic"!!! The apartment is very comfortable and we loved looking out to the sea. A wonderful location so close to everything. We did not need a car as the bus, trains and ferry are so convenient. The weather was kind to us, do not belive the internet forecast!!! We love Italy and will recommend this area and the apartment to our friends. Thank you. Moira + Geoff Northamptonshire,UK September 2014

Great appartment and very helpful owner

  • 5 of 5

This is a great appartment in a great location. The owner could not have been more helpful finding us car parking and welcoming us with Prosecco and providing plenty of information about Rapallo. Franca welcomes you into her apartment and makes you feel as if it is your own home - highly recommended.

Simply wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Franca had thought of everything. She greeted us on arrival; stocked the fridge with a welcome aperitivo; and, talked us through the instructions for the flat and her very helpful guidebook of things to do. The attic is air conditioned and there are 4 small terraces for sitting out, from which you can see the sea. This is a five star apartment at a very reasonable price. Rapallo is a bustling town full of charm and entertainment and good restaurants; and is a perfect location for exploring the Italian Riviera to the south of Genoa which includes Portofino and the Cinqueterre. There are also options to travel further to Pisa and Florence. No car is necessary: cheap trains and buses run up and down the coast and there is a summer ferry. We have no hesitation in recommending this property and hope to return. Thank you Franca for providing wonderful accommodation for a lovely holiday. Andrew, Clare and Venita.

Bells, birdsong, bellissima!

  • 5 of 5

When Franca writes that her beautiful apartment in Rapallo ‘welcomes’ and ‘cuddles you’ – she is spot-on! From the moment we stepped into this lovely flat, we felt that it was ‘home from home’.

Franca was the perfect host, providing us with a fridge full of goodies and ensuring the air-conditioning was just at the right setting. Comfortable beds ensured quality sleep and the stunning views from the two balconies were the icing on the cake. Enjoying the sun set over the harbour and mountains in the evening, then watching the little boats sail into the harbour at breakfast, made this a holiday to remember. Bells, birdsong, bellissima!

Rapallo is a magic little town, with plenty of good restaurants, music and culture to entertain you in the evening and Franca’s apartment is the perfect base for which to enjoy it. Strongly recommended.

Wonderful experience

  • 5 of 5

Franca’s apartment is exceptional. It is so well appointed and so well maintained that you know nobody could do more to make you feel comfortable and looked after. From the welcome fruit bowl to the bottle of bubbly in the fridge no detail is overlooked and everything is as clean and comfortable as it could be. The apartment is very spacious with balconies on either side to give you a view of the sea and sun or shade depending on the time of day. The bed was very comfortable indeed and the air conditioning very welcome at times. Everything is within easy reach including the station, the promenade and the very attractive and buzzing town centre. Boats, trains or buses will take you to the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Santa Margherita and beyond to Genoa. Or you might find that you just want to enjoy Rapallo with its many great cafes and restaurants. We hadn’t heard of Rapallo before but now we feel as though we want to put it on our list of regular places to visit as well as Franca’s apartment.

Top Quality Spacious Apartment-Brilliant position

  • 5 of 5

This place is absolutely first rate for quality. Franca, the owner, has gone to huge amounts of effort to make everything perfect for your stay. Helpful tips, restaurant Reviews, lots of food on arrival so you are set up for the first night. It was brilliant.

The apartment is much more spacious than the photos show. Really comfortable furniture and a brand new bed.

The position is unbeatable - water views from the balconies and yet totally peaceful and quiet. We had the best nights sleep as you cannot hear any noise at all.

You are 3 minutes walk to both the train station and the ferry. So go Cinque Terra one way or Santa Margherita and Portofino the other.

A wonderful place - totally recommended.

Further Details:

Rapallo is considered a complete and cozy tourist town. Situated in the heart of the Gulf of Tigullio, nestled among the green shores of the promontory of Portofino and the rocky cliffs of Zoagli, offering fascinating views from its shores and walks on the extensive network of hiking trails. The scenic Lungomare Vittorio Veneto is adorned by a long row of palm trees, fantastic restaurants and bars all the way down to the old castle on the sea and its unique shape, which is one of the symbols of the city. Built in 1550 and recently restored, it is now home to prestigious exhibitions and conferences. On July 3rd of each year it is the main character of the famous and beautiful patron saint festival (1-2-3 July) in honor of the apparition of Our Lady of Montallegro. In fact, during the last 8 long fireworks that take place throughout the three days, the castle is burnt down artificially with a white waterfall that descends towards the sea from its roof and an output of red smoke from its windows, which create a unique effect in the world. Behind it, on the hill, there is the Shrine of Our Lady of Montallegro destination for many pilgrims from all over Italy, easily reachable by cable car, the only one in Liguria, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Gulf up to Genoa. The old town of medieval origin offers the opportunity to make high class shopping and visit interesting monuments: the civic tower, the basilica, the oratory of the White Fathers, the oratory of the Black Fathers, the Poor Clare monastery and the abbey "Valle Christi". Many cultural activities such as exhibitions, concerts and conferences are organized throughout the year at the Cultural Academy, the International Library, the Lace Museum and the Museum Gaffoglio.

In every season you can play a variety of sports such as golf, tennis, swimming, sailing, boating, windsurfing, fishing, diving, scuba diving, horse riding, cycling and many other disciplines.
