About the Owner

We love the Lake District and Keswick in particular. The stunning beauty of the area is very very special. We have visited many places in the world but the Lake District is somewhere we have wanted to return to time and time again. The scenery is stunning, we have enjoyed exploring various walks and have progressed in difficulty in our walks starting with Latrigg, then Walla Crag and then last weekend we walked up Catbells. The views were breathtaking and we had a fantastic day despite falling in a puddle on the way down! We bought this house in December 2013 and spent the next 3 months refurbishing it. We are really pleased with the result and so are the guests who have visited the house to date. We hope that you will visit and enjoy both the house and the area as much as we do.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed the week we spent here at New Year. The house was lovely and we were able to visit many local places without worrying about parking on our return. New Years Eve in Keswick was BRILLIANT. We will definitely be back.

We visited this house with another couple for a short break. We had a lovely time. The house was very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed both nights in relaxing and visits to local pubs and restaurants. We were spoilt for choice! We will be returning and recommending this house to our friends.

We regularly visit Keswick to enjoy the lovely walks. The house was perfect for us. We could park our groups two cars right outside, with room to spare! Everything is a short stroll away and the house is equipped and furnished to a high standard. We intend to make this house our regular choice.

Excellent location with private parking

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is a two bedroom terrace with a bathroom upstairs and a kitchen and lounge downstairs. It is within an easy five minute walk of the centre of Keswick.

The kitchen is well appointed, including a dishwasher, with a ceramic hob and built in oven.

The bathroom has an electric shower but there are no grab handles or non-slip mat.

There is effective central heating supplemented with a gas fire in the lounge.

Borrowdale is a short drive away and, now the A591 has reopened, the Southern Lakes are about 30 minutes drive away.

Keswick has plenty of restaurants with an excellent Thai and an Italian being particularly good.
