About the Owner

The Humphreys family have been living and working in Carno for five generations, firstly as Millers, farmers, and now as well as farming, holiday accommodation providers!

We live in such a delightful place, we thought it would be a joy to share it, so the idea of log cabins was started.

We are Hugh, Sarah and our three children, Siwan, Ioan and Elliw, managing the beef, sheep and log cabins together, with everyone involved from bottle feeding orphan lambs to mowing lawns and answering emails!

The log cabins have been designed and built with everything we would look for in our perfect holiday home, especially the balcony, Hugh's favourite place.

On a lovely summer's evening, we stroll around the nature paths and sit on the jetty, enjoying chatting with guests about a variety of subjects

Had a lovely weeks stay at the cabin, enjoyed the hot tub and thought the cabin was the best we have stayed in! Children enjoyed feeding the horses and we all had fun investigating the area around. Would recommend The Aleppo for a meal. If we come back to Wales we will certainly come back and stay in your brilliant cabins. Thank you very much! Dyson family.

We had such a lovely stay at the cabin, for our honeymoon. So peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be back for our anniversary next year. The cabin is beautifully maintained and has loads of little extras making it feel very homely. Thank you Hugh and Sarah for a lovely weekend. K & G Whitefoot

Here for the third time, yet again absolutely fantastic, so relaxing. Lovely setting and beautifully maintained. A credit to Hugh and Sarah. Visited Lion Hotel at Llandinam absolutely brilliant meal. Also went to Devil's Bridge-beautiful walk. Fraser family.

First time here and its been perfect. Hot tub was great and lodge was everything described and more. Will be commending this place to friends and will be back ourselves when peace and stress levels get too high. J&C

This has been the perfect place to come on our honeymoon. Thank you for your warm hospitality and generosity of spirit! We look forward to returning in the near future. A much needed and much appreciated break. Thank you. C&K

Thank you for creating such wonderful cabins. We came here on our mini moon and couldn't have asked for a better place to relax after many months of stress. The hot tub was brilliant in the sun, the rain, the light and the dark and was the highlight of the stay. We will be back and will recommend to friends and family. C&C

Perfect break for my husbands 30th. Thank you so much for putting in the extra touches, this was much appreciated. We managed to unwind here and the hot tub was amazing. We will definitely be commending this place to all our friends and family. Thanks again and we hope to visit again soon. V&A

Myself and my family stayed here from Friday to Monday and this was truly not enough time... There are 3 log cabins on site in an idyllic setting with lambs and sheep running around and a stream running past. The cabins are huge with 3 shower rooms and Morden kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub looking out onto the fields.

We will be booking again for sure, it's situated right on the edge of snowdonia with some amazing views.

If you want to stay in Wales then these log cabins are perfect.

From the Owner

The opportunity arose for us to purchase land adjoining our existing farmland, so we couldn't resist. This was the perfect spot for the placing of holiday accommodation. What a wonderful quiet place, and what better than to share it with other country loving people. And so, Dwr Y Felin Log Cabins was created.
