Situated on the edge of the lovely village of Gargrave, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and local amenities. A beautiful setting for a quiet peaceful holiday but also within easy traveling distance of main Towns and Cities.

We are sorry but short stays of less than one week will only be considered 4 weeks before.

Top Quality Residence!

Gargrave House is a beautiful place to stay, the house itself, the grounds, the apartment were all first class. The apartment was spotless, and we were met on time by Ali, who was very friendly and helpful.

Sometimes when looking at photographs on a website you do not get the "full story" and can be left disappointed by clever photography etc. However, in my opinion the photographs do not do Gargrave House justice, it really is a complete, excellent package and i would not hesitate to recommend it to travelers who want something special.

Perfect

Had a brilliant two night stay at Gargrave House. The apartment and grounds are beautiful. We went to the Masons Arms the two nights we were there and the food and service was amazing. Thank you Joyce for all your help. We will be back.

Beautiful Apartment Within A Stunning House!

I have to admit I was a little surprised when we arrive at Gargrave House, the photos on the web site looked too good to be true..... but their not, the house and apartment are even better in reality. Joyce met us at the door and showed us around, the apartment is beautifully finished and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and has everything you would want if it was your own home. Large comfy beds, luxury bathrooms, fabulous kitchen and all in the stunning surroundings of Gargrave house. We went to the Masons Arms in the village, we were made very welcome by the landlord and had a few pints (very good) and an evening meal which was excellent. The Co-op in the village had everything you could need and is only a short walk from the apartment. The House is ideally situated for exploring the dales. I wish I lived here!

Very smart apartment in a stunning house

Very impressed from the moment the apartment was booked right through until we vacated the lovely apartment set inside a beautiful house. Found the apartment by accident on the internet, wished I'd found it earlier. Luxury apartment is very nice with everything at hand and is beautifully decorated. Gargrave house is stunning set in beautiful grounds. The person I dealt with was very friendly and informative and was there to meet us. Gargrave is just a short walk away with Skipton just a short drive away. Wished we could have stayed longer and would love to go back. We used this property for a short break and would definitely recommend it.

Our holiday staying at Gargrave Mansion, Skipton

We have recently returned from a week in Yorkshire staying at Gargrave Mansion, Skipton, in a superb luxury apartment which exuded elegance in every way. Set in beautiful grounds, the accommodation was of a very high spec. Our two friends who accompanied us also found the standard of the apartment amazing. It was spacious, very clean and extremely well maintained. Prior to our visit, Joyce (Stallebrass) was really helpful with regards to our booking. On the day we arrived she met us at the door and showed us round. The customer care she provided was excellent even down to providing a small welcome pack.

With regards to Gargrave Village, it is very quaint with the Leeds/Liverpool canal running through it. It was an ideal location for exploring, just a short distance from Skipton and with good railway links which we took advantage of, in particular the Settle/Carlisle journey and also Keighley andWorth Valley trip which took us all back in time reliving the era of the Railway Children.

Gargrave has a couple of pubs one of which we visited and participated in some tasty food which was very good value for money. We also attended some events in the Village Hall which included a Film Night and an excellent Book Fair. The locals made us truly welcome. We were even invited to stay for lunch in the church where the congregation were celebrating their Harvest Festival.

Gargrave also has a couple of coffee shops and a reasonably sized Co-op for any essentials.

All in all we cannot fault the property and its surroundings and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

A little piece of 'heaven'

The apartment was just as described - wonderfully spacious and clean (apart from spiders under the bath mat!!). The setting, in beautifully maintained grounds, was just perfect for a peaceful holiday. Everyone we met at the apartments, were very friendly and we even administered emergency first-aid to one of the residents who had taken a tumble in the car park! Key handover was very efficient and Joyce had even stowed away our 'freezer' purchases, from an early-arriving online delivery! Gargrave itself, has everything you could want - post office, general store, fish shop, ATM machine, pubs and even an Indian restaurant! It was lovely to watch the boats going through the locks, just a few minutes away from the house. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment to others, wanting just that little bit of luxury.

There is public access to the river on its way through the village from five 'village greens', a feature which makes it popular with tourists. There are many picturesque walks around the village, the famous Pennine Way passes through the very centre of the village.
