Our first thought when we saw the villa, the pool and its amazing views. Well-maintained, every thing you need for a week is in or around the house (including the airco we used with great pleasure during the heat wave). Porto Heli is a very, very lovely town with great restaurants, its natural harbour, very friendly people and a perfect place for all kind of trips. From Porto Heli we went on a day-cruise to mesmerizing Hydra, an authentic Greec Island: just beautiful (63 euro's, 2 persons). We hired a motor-yacht for a day to cruise on the sea (100 euro's) and went to the Island of Spetses with a bustaxi (2,50) from Kosta, a little town just outside Porto Heli. A shopping-paradise with - again - so many picturesque views!
And if you want to meet the locals, visit the market in Ermioni on thursday and shop your fresh fish, fruit or vegetables.
After each trip back to the villa, to sit with a drink by the divine swimming pool (or took a dive in it), enjoying the beautiful scenery, listening to the sound of the crickets, we kept saying to each other what a splendid part of Greece we have found.
We want to thank Chris for everything: he gave us all the information we needed, he replied immediatly to our questions and for letting us rent this unsurpassed place. And, the great help of Athena, the housekeeper! Such a friendly lady who informed and helped us with everything. Efcharistó, Chris and Athena!
I know I used a lot of superlatives but that's how we experienced Porto Heli, its surroundings and the villa.
Now we are back in rainy Holland and the only negative thing is that we had to book the villa for 2 weeks instead of 1.
