Wonderful post-Christmas retreat

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet get-away after the noise of Christmas. We found this gite, and after reading the great reviews we decided to book. Chris and Tracey were extremely helpful and responsive to our emails.

The gite is beautiful, maintained to a very high standard and very well equipped. As you would expect for January it was rather cold, but the gite was kept warm by the fantastic log burner, under floor heating, and radiators. The location is very peaceful, with easy access to two local villages by car (5 mins). Major attractions aren't far either - we highly recommend a visit to Honfleur (about 40 mins).

Chris and Tracey were fantastic hosts. The 'welcome package' was very kind and helpful, and we loved having the Christmas tree there.

Chris kept us supplied with ample wood for the burner, so no danger of getting cold.

Our daugher is horse-mad, so was delighted to be able to meet and feed Tracey's horses every day.

The place was pretty much perfect - we hope to be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your great review. We are so pleased you found the gite peaceful and warm. The weather over the new year was extremely cold but very pretty with the white trees and bushes. It was lovely to meet your daughter, my horses and donkey are missing their late carrot and cuddle by torchlight in their stables. Hope to see you all again in the future and good wishes to your daughter with her riding and exams. Chris and Tracy

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

THIS PROPERTY IS OUTSTANDING! Impeccably clean and so very well equipped. A real "home from home". From the moment we arrived, the owners Tracy and Chris could not have been more welcoming, helpful and hospitable. Always willing to pass on valuable information when asked, or just stop for a friendly chat. We really enjoyed the privacy of the very generous open space (badminton, swing-ball, boules to name but a few. Adults lost every time!). Peace and tranquility this gite enjoys in abundance. Ideally located for all the region has to offer. As seasoned travellers, this is certainly at the very top of our "return to" list. This sentiment was echoed by both our children (aged 14 and 10) who cried when we had to leave! Tracy, Chris, (Hector and friends), "Thank you" just doesn't seem enough. xxxx

Owner's Response: Hello Thank you for your fabulous review on your stay. So pleased you all found the gite and garden a "home from home". The weather was very hot throughout your stay and your children found the beaches at Deauville and Trouville very tempting (including the ice cream)! Sorry to hear they were upset to leave but look forward to seeing you all again. Chris and Tracy

What a fabulous well equipped gite, perfect location and the hosts Chris and Tracey......wonderful people. A welcome pack on arrival, an early arrival and a late departure accommodated for us, brilliant. Beautiful surroundings and everything you could ask for. We'll definitely be back.

A sunny week in Nirmandy

  • 5 of 5

We went with a view to playing some golf and also relaxing

We played at St Gatien Deauville, Golf du Champ de Bataille and St Julien at Pont Leveque and can recommend them all

The gite is spotlessly clean with all amenities - lovely. There are local restaurants and shops in the small town of Lieurey - we highly recommend

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review on the gite and the golf available nearby. This was our first group of golfers to the gite and we are pleased you found the golf courses to be of a good standard. The village of Lieurey has many little shops, bars and a very good restaurant. Look forward to seeing you all again.

Gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house in a lovely garden. The house was immaculate, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, inside and out, for a restful and relaxing holiday. Arriving to find fresh food and wine in the fridge was lovely. Chris and Tracy are very generous and friendly hosts and we enjoyed our daily chats immensely. We've been holidaying in self-catering houses in France for almost 30 years and I think this is the nicest we've stayed in. Thank you Chris and Tracy. We look forward to a return visit.

Delightful gite in lovely rural location.

  • 5 of 5

Attractive, clean, well presented and well equipped Gite in lovely rural surroundings. Owners, Chris and Tracey, very welcoming and helpful, particularly in advising on where to purchase petrol as there was a fuel shortage during our stay.

Visited Monet's Garden at Giverny, Bayeux, Pegasus Bridge and Honfleur, all within easy reach.

A very relaxing and memorable stay.

Colin and Elaine.
