Spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

A lovely house, well equipped, warm and given the fact there were 12 of us every one could shower and bath with hot water constantly available. We made full use of the hot tub and brought in a chef to cook a meal which we could all enjoy sitting comfortably at the dining table which seated us all. Well positioned for Canterbury which we went too a couple of times during our stay. I have nothing but positives to say about the house we thoroughly enjoyed being there. Jill and John helped us settle in and overall we'd love to go back.

Beautiful stunning home.

  • 4 of 5

What a magnificent, stunning property, with just about everything you could possibly need..... from a beautiful homemade cake and wine upon arrival - to the very relaxing hot tub being all ready and sauna

(didn't take long to warm up) with robes in every room cosy blankets, and candles in numerous ornate holders dotted around the decking area, made it look very pretty by night. As a treat we hired a chief to come in and had a very enjoyable evening experience. Love to return one day. Many thanks Jill & John

Superb House in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of nine - family and friends for a reunion. We chose Park House as a base for exploring a part of England none of us had visited before. We were not disappointed. The house is located on the edge of a lovely village, Barham, just a 20 minute drive from the centre of Canterbury. With a separate TV room, comfortable lounge, large dining room and a kitchen equipped for the most professional of chefs, it offered us plenty of room to spread out. The good sized five bedrooms had the most comfortable beds and beautiful garden views. We were blessed with wonderful weather throughout our stay and enjoyed BBQ dinners on the patio. The hot tub was a great favourite in the evening!

Things to Do:

A visit to Canterbury Cathedral is a must. If you are disabled with a Blue Badge, it is possible to pre-arrange parking within the Cathedral precincts with the Cathedral Visitor centre.

Punting along the River Stour

Whitstable fish market

For walkers, there are numerous country trails starting from the house.

The Duke of Cumberland pub is only a short walk from the house

The village shop & post office is within walking distance for basic supplies and is run by very friendly people.

We can highly recommend Park House. Thank you Jill & Andy, we will be back!

Perfect luxurious and relaxed weekend retreat!

  • 5 of 5

From the very beginning we knew our extended family gathering would be fantastic! Easy communications meant that on arrival everyone single one of us had been perfectly catered for.

The highlights were the hot tub sauna combo and the fab spacious entertaining space which meant there was plenty of room for our mixed age party.

Extra special treats were the lovely fluffy bathrobes, luxury toiletries and iced wine and vintage tea/cake on arrival.

We feel we could recommend this wonderful retreat to absolutely everyone! We hope to return!

Beautiful house for girlie weekend away!

  • 5 of 5

Park House is absolutely gorgeous - we had such a wonderful time! The ground floor space is so open and sociable. Perfect for all weather - cosy wood-burner for rainy days and fab garden and outdoor hot-tub for the sunshine! We had such a wonderful weekend here to celebrate my sister's birthday! And the owner Jill had thought of everything - there was even a home-made Victoria Sponge Cake waiting for us when we arrived to help celebrate my sister's special weekend! I would highly recommend Park House - perfect property for escaping to the Kent countryside for fun with friends and family! Thank you so much, Jill - we loved it! xx.

Park House is in a great location where guests can enjoy the best of both worlds. We are nestled in the countryside but still very close to transport links and amenities. So much can be found in this area including great country walks, beaches, historical sites and shopping to name but a few. Canterbury is also on the high speed train line so day trips to London are quick and easy...taking only 57 minutes! Park House itself is quite special. Secluded and spacious with fabulous gardens all ready for that gem of croquet and glass of Pimms! It is warm, clean, contemporary and very comfortable.
