Wonderful spacious apartment with everything we needed and more

Great apartment - just 10-15 minute walk from the metro and the old town. Located in an interesting neighbourhood with cafes, a supermarket, bakery and market literally on the doorstep - always something interesting to watch outside the windows and plenty of space inside at the end of the day. Comfortable bed, clean and well equipped - what more do you need as a base to explore such a fascinating city. Thank-you Simon and Monica

A true home away from home!!

We were met promptly at the apartment and helped up with our bags. Given a brief description of where things were and what facilities were available. There is also a very detailed guide to the apartment and also lots of information about things to do in Valencia. The apartment was very clean and well laid out. The view of the church out of the window was a fabulous view!!! There was a big street market outside the apartment on the Monday morning which is well worth a visit. The apartment is well placed and the train station and city centre are all within easy walking distance. There is a bakery right underneath the apartment which I bet no-one has ever resisted with the wonderful smells that you get in the apartment. This apartment is a great base for sightseeing and provides a relaxing environment after a hard day doing fun things. There are local bars and smaller restaurants very close to the apartment and a supermarket is only a few minutes walk away. I would definitely rent this apartment again as from initial booking, communication from Simon through to arriving and departing it was a fabulous experience!!!!!

Comfortable flat in great location

We found the apartment to be in a great location with lots of bars and tapas restaurants around serving super food. The bakery at the bottom of the apartment building offered a wide choice of bread and pastries for breakfast. The apartment itself was very comfortably furnished, the beds were comfortable and with three sofas there was plenty of space relax at the end of a busy day. The kitchen seemed to be well appointed although we only used it for breakfast...too much temptation from all the tapas on offer! It was only a short walk to the old town where there is lots to look at, a great place for meandering. Car parking on the streets is obviously a lottery and we used the market car park around the corner which costs 20euros a day. Many thanks to Monica for finding our sons favourite cap...she messaged to say she'd found it and would post it back to us. Great service.

Valencia, we will return!

lovely comfortable, stylish and really well equipped apartment, just a 10 minute walk away from the start of the Old City. great area in the neighbourhood, Covered Market is brilliant, meat fish, fruit and veg, cheeses, the baker is underneath the apartment and the smell of baking bread curls up in the morning, cafes and restaurants a stone's throw away. We had such a lovely time at Simon's and still so much to see in Valencia we would love to visit and stay at his apartment again. We were met by Monica who let us in as arranged, everything was so well organised and we didn't have any problems, such a change for us!

Perfect

Modern spacious well laid out & comfortable apartment with thoughtful extras & attention to detail which made the overall stay very enjoyable.

Good location only few mins walk from main train & metro stations. Easy to travel by local transport from Airport. In an older part of the city with good tapas bars & restaurants within a minutes walk but not too noisy at night. Local shops & markets very near . Great location to see all the city's ancient & modern sights and also a short bus ride to the lovely beach.

Highly recommended.

Location

I spent a year in Valencia to learn Spanish in 2000 and loved it. I particularly like this location (Ruzafa) as it has a real sense of history and community. Many of the buildings date back to the early part of the 20th Century. Other reasons for buying in Russafa are the fact that it has a wonderful food market, you can walk to the city centre in a few minutes, and the selection of bars and restaurants really is fantastic. In recent years a lot of artists and photographers have moved into the area which has added yet more vibrancy to the area.

The apartment block was built in 1914 and retains original features such as the wooden window shutters. It was refurbished a few years ago to provide a modern, open living space without losing its original charm. The apartment has a wonderful view of a local church, enjoys a lot of natural light and is well-situated for shops, markets, bars and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance, including the city centre. The beach is a cycle ride or short bus/cab ride away.
