We have really enjoyed our stay in Bellflower Mews. Everything we needed was here. Very comfortable and relaxing accommodation. Well equipped kitchen and lovely powerful shower. Great position for exploring this part of Kent. We recommend walking along Tankerton Slopes and by the Stour River. Refreshments at the Shakespeare Win Bar. Thank you.

Beautifully presented, quiet and ideal location

We have been travelling for eight months and I have to admit that this little flat was the best presented we have stayed in during that time. Everything you needed was there, all the information you required was provided and easy to read - it was a delight. The location is superb just a short walk to the city centre and a local Waitrose for groceries. The free parking was ideal and if we wanted to use the car it was easy to get out to the countryside, Dover or elsewhere. It is a ground floor flat with a wheelchair accessible wet shower room so also great for people with mobility issues. We were a little concerned that it might be noisy on the New Dover Road but the flat is set well back and we didn't hear any traffic noise. When there was a problem with the toilet blocking this was fixed quickly. The only slight issue was that the wet shower room had no way to dry quickly so stayed wet for some time. From previous experience these usually have underfloor heating so that they dry quickly but as there was another in tub shower in the other bathroom this wasn't a major issue. All in all a great stay

A most enjoyable week in a great apartment!

This apartment is as advertised. We found it to very clean and functional. Plus, it was very quite and restful in spite of being set back from a main road into Canterbury. A small Sainsbury's is about 4 blocks away and in the morning you get fresh warm pastries when picking up your morning paper. In the apartment there is a notebook full of information on the local area. The owner is happy to answer any questions before your arrive and while you are there and to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The only drawback as mentioned by others is that the parking space in under a big tree with nesting birds but in the grand scheme of things this isn't a big deal when you consider all this apartment has going for it. A good value for money in a very interesting city. If we ever return to Canterbury we would certainly stay here again if it were available.

Warm,welcoming and convenient Bellflower Apartment

Superbly located to Canterbury and the surrounding area that is rich in history and beauty. The apartment is placed in quiet surroundings, but in a few minutes you can easily walk into the bustling eclectic nature of Canterbury. After a long journey a warm welcome awaits you with thoughtful gifts of tea, coffee, milk and fresh orange juice plus the most delicious extravagant biscuits. Very scrummy! The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable with good bath and shower facilities. The living area is spacious and looks out onto a shared garden area and with double French doors that can be opened on sunny days the space becomes even more inviting.

I and my daughters have had a fantastic week, and would fully recommend this apartment to any one. Tina and Adrian Bray were very helpful and we felt that they had a sincere wish to make our holiday a great experience. If you want to visit this part of England and all that it offers, and there is loads for all interests, then I would not hesitate booking Bellflower Mews!

Great experience with responsive host in Canterbur

We had a great time staying at Tina's place in Canterbury. The apartment is an easy 10-15 min walk to all of the most important sites in canterbury and the fact that there is a parking space included made it very easy to come and go by car as well. Tina was very responsive throughout the entire experience. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect Holiday Home

One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Warm, comfortable,quiet and very well equipped. Easy to find and having parking on site was a bonus. Adrian and Tina were very helpful with all our questions before our visit and there is plenty of local information in the flat. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, juice and biscuits enabled us to relax after a long journey before having to think about shopping. (There is a supermarket some 5-6 minutes walk away). We are 2 mature couples staying for a week so 2 bathrooms were very welcome. The weather was bitterly cold during our stay so having a lovely warm home to return to each day was great.

One of our highlights was a visit to Leeds Castle, an interesting day out and something we all had wanted to do.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this flat to anyone and certainly would stay here again if we return to this area.

Ticks all the boxes for an ideal city break

A very nice apartment, exactly as described on the website, provided an ideal base for Canterbury and surrounding area. Although near the city the area was surprisingly quiet at night. Everything we required during our stay was provided and the owners had left plenty of information for both the flat and visiting the locality. They had also provided welcome refreshments for our arrival. Responses to our initial enquiry and subsequent queries were dealt with promptly and professionally. The only thing to be wary of is that the allocated parking space is under a tree, would advise taking a plastic sheet to protect from bird droppings. The city is within easy walking distance and has many bars, cafes and restaurants. There are supermarkets about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Would happily stay in the apartment again if we went back to the area.

There is a communal open grassed area to the rear of the property and gardens at the front. Walk ten minutes and you are in the city centre, drive 10 minutes and you are in the countryside.

The beaches of Whitstable, Herne Bay and surrounds are 20 minutes drive away and the south Kent beaches of Hythe (pebble), Dymchurch (sand) are from 30 minutes drive.

Travel Links:

The ferry port at Dover and Channel Tunnel at Folkestone are only a 30 minute drive. The main airport is Gatwick which is one and a quarter hour's drive. The Eurostar train from Europe stops at Ashford & there are regular train services from Ashford to Canterbury. London is 50 minutes from Canterbury on the Hi Speed Rail Service. Also a frequent London coach service (pick-up near apartment). Easy access to A2/M2 for Dover & London.

Short Breaks are available, subject to time of year. Please contact us with your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate. Pricing for short breaks are based on a percentage of the weekly price : 2 nights - 60%, 3 nights - 65%, 4 nights - 75%, 5 nights – 85%

Booking Notes:
Prices include VAT, all utilities, bed linen & towels. Bookings can be made by email or telephone. A booking form must be completed and a deposit of 20% of total rental fee is required at time of booking to secure and balance is due 6 weeks before arrival date. If booking is made less than 6 weeks before arrival date then full payment due at time of booking. Our full booking conditions will be sent at time of enquiry. Payment may be made by cheque (drawn on a UK bank account) or bank transfer (from UK bank accounts only). Overseas bookings will be by Paypal via an invoice in GBP from us. All bookings will be confirmed in writing. A breakage/damage deposit bond of £200 required 4 weeks before departure date which is refunded after your stay provided the apartment is left clean and there are no damages (minor breakages excluded).

During peak season changeover day is a normally a Friday but it can be flexible. Arrival time is from 3 pm and departure time is by 10am.

A deposit of 20% of total rental fee is required at time of booking to secure and balance is due 6 weeks before arrival date. If booking is made less than 6 weeks before arrival date then full payment due at time of booking.
