Lovely house, great location

We greatly enjoyed our stay here, the descriptions of the property, the location and the area on the website were all spot-on. All I can really add to what is already there is that the accommodation lay-out, with the living area on the top floor, works very well indeed. It's especially nice to be in the centre of a "proper" little town and be able to walk out to the local shops (particularly the bakers' for morning croissants), bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Off the beaten track near St Tropez

Cogolin is a lovely and unspoilt little town not far from the hot spots of St Tropez and St Maxine. The property is great because it is near the centre of the town within a short walk of shops bars and restaurants. Although it's an older property it's been extensively improved internally with a fantastic terrace off the lounge that looks out towards the south. Ideal for a holiday away from the more commercial sites but they are within easy striking distance when or if you need them. The house was very clean and well equipped, good bathrooms and a nice feel to it, the description in the brochure was right on the button. Definitely recommend this place to friends and family, probably not for the infirm as the stairs could be a bit of a challenge for someone who is unsteady omn their feet. Suggest an evening drink at the Cafe des Sport watching the locals play a petanq competition - magic.

Special interest holidays:

Cogolin is on the slopes of the Massif Des Maures range and has been described as ‘cascading down the hill’. It’s full of picturesque, narrow streets and historical interest, with an 11th Century church, clock tower and ancient fortifications amongst its charms. The Wednesday and Saturday markets fill the air with the scent of Provençal herbs and spices. Cogoiln is also a real working town, alive all year round, and is known for its traditional craftsmanship, producing reeds for woodwind instruments, smoking pipes and wrought-iron furniture. The town has all the usual amenities, such as supermarket, banks, shops and restaurants.

Swimming, tennis, golf, cycling, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, go-karting and boules.


This is the Cote d’Azur so the sandy beaches, marinas and glamorous attractions of the Riviera are all within easy access by car. The nearest beach is Marines de Cogolin, a couple of miles away.


St Tropez and St Maxine are also an easy drive, as are the bustling harbours of Port Grimaud (10 minutes), Marine de Cogolin, St Maxine and St Tropez. Sailing, wind-surfing, water skiing and of course, sunbathing and dining in style are all in abundance!
