About Barry and Christine Skidmore

Barry and Christine moved to Pembrokeshire in 2000 with their 2 children and 2 cats. They found their perfect home, surrounded by beautiful rural countryside, yet near all beaches and areas of Pembrokeshire. They settled at once and decided to transform the cottage next door from a very basic dwelling, into a cottage for their families and friends to stay in when visiting. Everyone was so enthusiastic about it, that they were encouraged to further upgrade it into a superb 4 star holiday cottage, so that tourists can stay and discover this beautiful part of Wales. From the wonderful comments left by the guests in the visitors book, they made the right choice and welcome all holiday makers, their families and dogs.

Barry and Christine Skidmore purchased this cottage in 2000

Lovely dog friendly cottage

The owners next door are lovely and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped. Great location with only a short drive to castles, beaches and coastal walks. We would definitely recommend staying here.

A truly wonderful week in a fantastic cottage made extra special by great owners.

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a week to do some walking and enjoy our new puppy. I also wanted to reviisit areas of my childhood family holidays and can say without hesitation that it was a wonderful week. We were delighted to meet Barrie and Christine on our arrival and we’re over the moon with our cottage and it’s location. We had some lovely walks, great breakfasts thanks to the gifts from the chickens and enjoyed the wine and chocolate from our welcome tray. We have not found a cottage that is so well equipped; it has everything you could possible want and more. We will certainly revisit and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful part of Wales

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a week's stay at Milton Oak Cottage during the summer hols, the cottage is like a home from home and has everything you'll need for your stay. Location is a little off the beaten track but has good walks nearby and only takes about 10 mins to reach Pembroke. Loads of places to visit nearby so we were out every day, loved the coastal path, fabulous beaches and towns like Tenby and Narberth. This is a special area and compared to Cornwall is a breeze regarding traffic and crowds! We'll be back to the area but probably not this cottage as we always like to try something new.
