Overview

Property

Updated: 27-Nov-2016
Cottage in Dôl-y-Bont, Nr. Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales - Nant y Bwthyn, an ideal base for walking the Ceredigion coastal path.

Nant y Bwthyn is a private and secluded character country cottage nestling in the quiet and picturesque hamlet of Dol y Bont. Just two miles away from the sandy beaches of Borth and Ynyslas and five miles from the University town of Aberystwyth. An ideal base for walking the Ceredigion coastal path, choice of two great golf clubs and well situated to explore west wales. Nant y Bwthyn dates back to the late 19th century and retains many original features including the inglenook fireplace and oak beams which give it its olde-worlde charm.

Quirky

  • 5 of 5

Deceptive, quirky, lovely cottage, cosy and inviting but spacious in the right places, we had a lovely week at this well maintained cottage helped by the lovely weather which allowed us to take advantage of the lovely sunny patio and summer house where we had sunshine virtually all day, well equipped and ideal location for the gorgeous beaches at Borth we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly.

Delightful

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage in small hamlet outside Borth-charming welcome of tea and cake, with tour of the cottage. The cottage is very well equipped with all mod cons and we thoroughly enjoyed our week in such an attractive ' home' Enjoyed exploring around and in Aberystwyth, and enjoyed finding good places to eat out. Very happy to return again. Thank you Sheila.

Best cottage we have stayed in

  • 5 of 5

Welcomed by Sheila who showed us around the cottage and gave excellent advice on local area. Our dog loved Ynyslas beach which is down the road. All facilities provided as listed on the advert but to a higher standard than you might usually expect. Really comfy bed. Belting shower room. Wifi works perfectly and great mobile phone reception.

We will definitely be back in 2016.

Sheila, thanks for a great week, Gordon, Liz and Bodger

Simply wonderful ...

  • 5 of 5

It is no surprise that this little gem, tucked away in a quiet, peaceful location, is fully booked for most of the year.

Clean, spacious and comfortable, with close links to an array of day trips to explore the area. We had a simply wonderful time, and didn't want to leave, in fact, we wanted to move in, rather than move out after our week stay :)
