Korsan Apartment No 9 in Kalkan, Mediterranean Region, Turkey - An Ideal Base Within Minutes Of The Resort And Marina

Well planned 1 bedroomed accommodation. The entrance to No.9 is directly off the Kalamar Road, so there are no steps to negotiate with your cases to get to the apartment. Side balcony to entrance. The lounge is bright and cheerful leading to front balcony which overlooks the top pool and offers a tantalising glimpse of the bay and mountain views. Kitchen/Dining Area is well stocked with everything to make snacks and light meals. Bedroom with side balcony and drying facilities. We are pleased to announce that the kitchen and bathroom are being replaced and updated for 2014 season. 2 small swimming pools, sun loungers and Korsan cafe/bar offering snacks, light meals, drinks and ice creams. Room service, packed lunches and picnics can also be arranged. High Season weekly barbeque and Turkish night. Book and pay locally.

Hello my name is Anne and along with my husband Peter we came upon Kalkan quite by accident in 2006.

We had a wonderful holiday and fell in love with Kalkan so much so that we have been back 9 times since!

We found the Korsan Apartments on our 3rd visit and we have always tried to stay there. On our last visit in August, we got talking to the staff and they told us about an apartment coming up for sale on the complex and we made the decision to go for it! We are really excited about owning this wonderful apartment and we want to share it with you.

Kalkan is a magical place full of wonderful restaurants and bars. We love the Korsan apartments and the wonderful staff, and friends we have made there.

For a relaxing holiday, Kalkan is the place to be!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at No9 Korsan apts.Near to the town but far enough to be peaceful . The apartment had all that you would need for your stay. This was our 2nd time at No9 since our 1st time the improvements are fantastic lovely BIG shower,and new fitted kitchen . Absolutely top apartment would recommend to anyone . All staff at the Korsan apts were fantastic, helpful nothing was to much bother.

We liked the fact that the apartment was on an established site, very close to the centre and run by one of the most respected business couples in Kalkan, Claire and Uluc Bilgutay. We were introduced to the staff and, by talking to the guests staying there, realised that people came back to the Korsan year after year due to the wonderful Team who work there and go the extra mile to make sure every visitor to the Korsan Apartments has a warm welcome and a memorable holiday. Yasar, the Manager speaks good english and along with the Cleaning team of Ismet and his wife Maryam, take great pride in ensuring that the complex, gardens and apartments are run, maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Kalkan has a small pebbled beach with all the usual facilities. The 12km sandy beach at Patara is approx 14 km west of Kalkan. Patara Beach is only a short journey by taxi or Dolmus and is definitely worth a visit.

Travel:

Dalaman is the nearest Airport.(Approx 125km). Transfer time is around an hour and a half. Flights are available to Antalya airport (Approx 197km) and around a 3 hour transfer time. We can arrange private transfers and/or car hire, at an additional cost, to be paid locally if required. Our great location means car travel would be optional, not necessary, to get you around Kalkan during your stay.

Distances:

Fethiye 80km- Nearest large town. Kas 26km - Friday Market and Departure point for trip to Meis the Greek isle. Saklikent Gorge 35km - Great "wet day" out. Bezirgan 17km -Traditional Turkish village in the mountains. Islamlar 5km - Trout farms and lovely restaurants.

Nearest supermarkets, shops and restaurants are within 2 minutes walk.

Kalkan Market is held every Thursday and is a 6 minute walk uphill from the apartment. Selling clothing, shoes, bags, spices, Turkish delight, "genuine Fakes", locally produced fresh fruit & vegetables it is well worth a visit, be prepared to "haggle".

The Korsan Apartments are situated in between the Kalamar Road and Nilufer Sokak - a quiet little oasis surrounded by lovely gardens and yet the attractions of Kalkan are just a few minutes walk away. There are supermarkets, restaurants and Take-away places all within a couple of minutes walk. For a change, you can lie in the hammocks or relax in the raised Turkish sitting area if you do not want to sit besided the two small pools. The staff will be happy to serve you a cool drink or a snack. (You must try their famous iced mint tea). The pool bar is a pleasant place to eat and drink or to meet your fellow guests before you venture out into Kalkan. This is also where the Turkish night and Barbeque takes place.

The Korsan Cafe Bar is situated at the lower pool and offers drinks, ice-creams, snacks and light meals. It is a quiet oasis to meet your fellow guests and to have a drink before or after venturing out on the town. Here you can arrange safety deposit boxes, laundry, room service, packed lunches or book for the weekly Barbeques (pay locally). There is also a full-size Table tennis table, ice-making machine, free WiFi connection and a library. All these facilities are available to guests staying at No.9. Guests at No.9 are also welcome at the other Korsan restaurants.
