David and I are lucky enough to own two lovely homes in the UK and another in Croatia.
After a successful career in business David now works for a major UK children's charity.
We have both grown up in North Wales and have raised our four children here. We are currently living in our other home in the UK which is only half a mile away in the beautiful village of Llanasa.
As such we are on hand to give any help and guidance but far enough away to give you total privacy!
Paula Roberts purchased this cottage in 2011
I have always been in love with this house. We bought our current house 14 years ago which was David's dream property - a small Georgian manor house in the centre of the village of Llanasa.
However, on our walks we would pass Holly House and I would always remark that was my dream house. After 11 years of making the same comment almost every week it came on the market and we bought it.
It needed total restoration including a new thatch. The build took nearly a year and we're delighted with how it has turned out.
We lived at Holly House for two years but David wanted to live in our other house for a bit so I'm happy to let other people enjoy Holly House until I can persuade David to move back!
Holly House has some of the most breath taking views imaginable. It is situated at a height of 660 feet above sea levels and has uninterrupted views over rolling countryside to the sea. The Wirral and Liverpool are clearly visible, as it the coastline of England. On a clear day you can even see Blackpool Tower.
The house is quiet and tranquil set in 3 1/2 acres of grounds. There are wonderful walks and you can join a public footpath through a gate at the bottom of the garden.
Despite its rural location you are only a half a mile walk to the award winning village of Llanasa with it's quiet country pub.
The popular market town of Prestatyn is only 4 miles away, the beach at Talacre 3.5 miles away, Chester and Llandudno are 30 minutes by road or rail from Prestatyn station.

"WOW- Absolutely Amazing"
My family and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Holly House..... What an amazing house. Very spacious, luxurious with amazing views. We will definitely be going back as the house has everything needed to make the stay very special. Would like to thank Paula adn David for their kind assistance/hospitality and also for sharing their beautiful home with us. Would HIGHLY recommend this amazing house.
"What a fantastic house!"
O
Everything was stunning. Paula was super friendly and allowed us early check in and late check out as no one else was staying at the cottage. The games room was really fun and lots of big rooms for the whole group to socialise
We came with extended family for several days and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful house. The owners were warm and welcoming and met us the first day with loads of information about the house and the area. We had everything we needed. The views are amazing! Beds were comfy and every room was beautifully decorated. The house was very clean and neat. Our experience was top notch! Hope to go back one day.
We were a party of 11 adults staying for my 40th birthday in October. Paula was fabulous supporting me in the planning and advising on the local amenities.
On arrival we were greeted by Paula who personally gave us a tour and explained how everything worked.
There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and nice pubs to eat at. Paula was helpful in providing local numbers for taxis when we ventured out on Saturday night.
The underfloor heating in the conservatory meant we were nice and cozy, having a relaxing afternoon chatting, whilst watching storm Brian!
Overall a wonderful weekend and would certainly go back. Only minor issue (which didn't take away from the experience in the slightest) was that a second 'beer/wine' fridge would have been useful but it was manageable.
We had a fantastic stay for my hen party. The property is very clean and well maintained and was just perfect for our party of 12 girls. The owners were very accommodating and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The views are stunning and I would recommend to both families and groups of friends. A lovely place in the country and not too far from Chester.
The house was stunning! Very clean, modern and perfectly located. The owners had left the property in pristine condition and you certainly can't fault the view of the sea. Thank you for a lovely setting for a fantastic hen party! Elaine
I booked Holly House for my Mom's hen weekend and it was the perfect choice. From the very beginning, Paula was incredibly helpful; providing detailed information regarding the location and surrounding areas as well as the house itself. No email or question was too much trouble for her and her responses were always very swift. When we arrived at the house, it lived up to the pictures and much much more. You get the WOW factor as soon as you pull on to the drive and the excitement doesn't end there. The views are amazing and can be seen from every part of the house. There were 12 of us staying in the house and not once did it feel crowded. We spent most of the time in the conservatory which has comfortable sofas and incredible views. The décor is luxurious and the house was clean and very well maintained. The whole group had a fantastic time. I wouldn't hesitate to book another holiday at this magnificent house.
