Cottage in Llanddona, Anglesey, North Wales - 10 Minute Drive/30 Minute Walk To The Beach. 10 Minutes Walk To Village Pub
Cyndal is a traditional semi-detached stone cottage with a cosy woodburning stove. It is a wonderful retreat for couples, or families with younger children (as they love the seaside-themed crog loft with its low ceilings). To the rear is a lovely lawned garden and to the front, a cottage garden which is full of flowers throughout the summer. It is a real sun trap – wonderful for enjoying a glass or two of wine. Two minutes walk from the cottage are stunning views down over Red Wharf Bay – a fantastic place to watch the sun go down. Just 10 minutes drive from an award-winning beach, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Heritage Coastline, it is the perfect location for a variety of outdoor activities. Or, just relax in front of a roaring log fire. Llanddona has its own friendly pub with delicious home-cooked food and the beautiful town of Beaumaris, with its seaside-coloured houses, castle, pier, shops & restaurants is just 1.5 miles away. Many returning visitors.

About the Owner
Julia and Neil have owned Cyndal for the last 10 years. Julia is from the island although they now live off the island, but return as often as possible. The cottage is managed by local people, so there is always someone on hand. Julia and Neil are keen to make their cottage as comfortable as possible, a home-from-home. The cottage is within walking distance, or a short drive, of lovely beaches and country pubs/restaurants. Anglesey is an easy drive from cities such as Manchester and Liverpool, taking under 2 hours, but it feels a world away! Come and see for yourselves.

The cottage its self is beautiful and the location is superb for activities out or lazy days on the beach. The cottage was more than accommodating for a group of five and all of us had a wonderful time. Would definitely go again.
The cottage was absolutely lovely and the location was beautiful. My son who is 2 loved the upstairs bedroom and the fact that he could make his own way up and down the stairs, also loved finding all the toys to play with (he kept calling it "my room" think he was planning on staying) The welcome pack was very thoughtful and everything you need after a long drive to make a nice brew and a biscuit before poppin to the supermarket for supplies. We had a fab short break and we are already planning on when to return. Thanks !!!
This cottage is lovely, clean, warm, comfortable, everything you need to make it a home from home. The owners had kindly left a welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, wine and a bar of chocolate, which was greatfully appreciated. The area is very quiet and off the beaten track but the handy mast provides a very useful landmark, and the directlons provided by the owners make it easy to find the cottage. The walks are amazing, especially down the hill to the beach, a tad on the steep side and not for the faint hearted or unfit! but as we were eating our way around Anglesey, we made ourselves do it every night as a penance. It was so quiet and peaceful and we were incredibly lucky with the weather so managed to make use of the lovely patio area at the back of the property. The views are amazing and it is a very convenient spot to visit the rest of Anglesey from, will definately be coming back. We did visit the local pub once but it didn't have WiFi, if it did we would probably have gone more often, we did eat there, was ok nothing special but the staff were friendly.
cosy & welcoming
When we walked into the cottage and saw the lovely large sitting room we thought it was lovely with the huge fireplace and so many sofas'. The kitchen although small was so well equipped. The children loved sleeping in the little loft room, and finding the toy chest.
We loved our holiday and the accommodation was just as good.
Lovely cottage, great location
We enjoyed our few days at Cyndal, and felt very welcome. We were on Anglesey for a wedding in Penmon, and the cottage was very convenient. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped in a beautiful, rural location - down a track with wandering cows! We enjoyed a wonderful walk down to the beach (which has a cafe) and back round. We didn't get a chance to use the local pub (which apparently has a good gluten-free menu). You have to go through the main bedroom, off the sitting room, to get to the bathroom, so guests would need to know each other quite well! But highly recommended.
Activity and Interests
The cottage is just a 5 minute drive to the blue-flag sandy beach of Llanddona, or a very pleasant 30 minute footpath walk (it will take longer coming back, as it is unfortunately uphill). The beach also offers short walks to Penmon Priory and Holy Well. Popular for swimming and windsurfing, it also has toilets, shop and a café. Although, there are many wonderful beaches within driving distance.
A car is essential, as the cottage is in a rural location. However, Bangor train station is only 10 miles away, Manchester airport about 80 miles and John Lennon Airport, 75 miles. Holyhead ferry port is around 25 miles.
