A beautiful apartment with an awful lot of clutter

The apartment itself is very good, nicely proportioned,fully equipped and very well situated and we had a very pleasant stay.

However there are some things that could be done by the owner to make the experience better.

The place is filled, one end to the other, with clutter. Enough crockery and cutlery to feed 5000, Ornaments and nick-knacks all over the place, no room for any of our clothes, no storage space that was not already fully taken. The wardrobe had so many hangars on the rail there was no space to hang clothes!

It is obviously the owner's pride and joy and it seems as if she just unloaded the contents of her house into the apartment. There were still boxes full of stuff that had not been unpacked.

Of the two single beds in the bedroom, one was so rickety that it felt unsafe to sleep on.

Finally in my list of grupms, the extractor fan hood that looks newly installed was far too low and had very sharp edges - a serious injury waiting to happen

BUT, everything else was fine. Hot water, really good shower, brand new fridge, everything that we needed was there. And of course the location is excellent. The sturdy front door kept oul most of the noise from the pool and the entertainment and when we needed a maintenance job done it was attended to very prompltly and effectively by the property manager.

Exceptional property in a nice location

The property looks exactly like the pictures - it is exceptionally well appointed with a great kitchen and modern bathroom. Every room is air conditioned but leaving the large balcony door open takes the heat out and it's glorious in the evening. All amenities you would need are a short walk away by the beach - two supermarkets and a few restaurants. We stayed in November and the resort was nicely busy, not very noisy beyond general pool noise and very quiet at night.

A little walking takes you into Playa Blanca (15 minutes at a stroll),where there are plenty more shops and restaurants. A good long walk to the lighthouse is about 1,5 to 2 hours there and back, or the same time to the top of the volcano, Mt Baja, which overlooks the resort.

We had a lovely holiday, and would definitely return.

Great Apartment, lovely position.

Very well appointed apartment, compact but fully equipped.

Clean and well maintained, many new appliances.

Great view from the balcony looking over the beach.

Local restaurants good, nice walk along the sea front to the main town 15 mins away.

Good information given by owner, easy to find, parking available.

Recommended. AAA+++

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Guacimeta (Arrecife) at 35 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Playa Blanca at 600 Metres Nearest Beach : Flamingo at 10 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beach and coast it is only approx 3 minutes walking.

Travel:

Playa Blanca is a 30 mins drive from Arrecife airport, this is a straight forward drive. The harbour is a 10 mins walk away which takes the ferry to Fuerteventura. Car hire is not essential but is recommended if you would like to explore the beautiful volcanic island and it's sights.

Distances:

There are the fire mountains about a 15 mins drive. Cesar Mariques home which is the famous artists house who developed most of the island about a 25 mins drive. The famous 'Cueva de los Verdes' and 'Jameos del Agua' and the cactus gardens about 35-40 mins drive. The Marina Rubicon is about 10 mins drive and has many nice restaurants.

Further Details:

There are many restaurants and main shopping area about 5 mins walk with everything you would need to find. The Fred Olsen ferry goes to Fuerteventura daily from here with about a 40 mins crossing.
