A fully detached three bedroom villa with own private pool and garden, situated in the rural area of the southern village of Zurrieq. This luxury-end property features five star finishing within an eco friendly structure that maintains harmony with its surroundings, taking full advantage of the beauty and serenity of the area. Located just ten minutes away from the Malta International Airport, this villa is immersed in typical Maltese countryside with breathtaking sea and countryside views overlooking the Wied Babu Valley, Hagar Qim temples, extending up to the silent city of Mdina, Rabat, Mosta Dome, Valletta and St. Julians. It is a perfect location to explore the beauty of the southern coast with its main feature being the picturesque Blue Grotto which is only a 30 minute walk from the property. Unique Ghar Lapsi is also a 15 minute drive away from the Villa.

Comfort was not spared in its elegant furnishings. On entering the property through a private drive-in (which can easily hold 3 cars), you will find yourself in the midst of the property, with its iconic pool which is accessed with a ladder (measuring 5.1m x 10.7m and 1.42m deep), Sauna, BBQ, outside dining facilities and surrounding garden which offers breathtaking views of its surroundings. An outside bathroom adds comfort when relaxing by the pool.

Inside the villa, you are welcomed in an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, and three bedrooms.

The fully equipped kitchen, which is built in tastefully solid wood furniture, is an ideal place to prepare a nice meal. It overlooks the pool area and benefits from a welcoming natural light. It enjoys an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, a coffee machine, washing machine and a dishwasher. The dining table is large enough to entertain a group of 8 persons.

The living area enjoys generous seating space to have some quality time with your family or friends. The sofa can accomodate an additional 2 persons by using the sofa bed. This area enjoys a flat screen TV with digital TV Channels, a Playstation 3 with an integrated Blu-ray DVD player and a bluetooth speaker

A guest WC is also available with a single washbasin and a WC.

All three bedrooms surround the side of the open plan and each enjoys its own ensuite. They all benefit from natural light and overlooks the surrounding garden.

The First bedroom has a double bed, dressing table and a spacious wardrobe and a flat screen TV with digital channels. It also enjoys an ensuite which is equipped with a hydro massage bath, shower, WC and a vanity unit with a single washbasin.

The Second bedroom also enjoys a double bed and a large wardrobe. Its ensuite is equipped with a spacious shower, WC and vanity unit with a single washbasin.

The Third bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and a desk. It also has a Flat screen TV with digital channels. Its ensuite has a shower, WC and a vanity unit with a single washbasin.

The property is fully air conditioned and offers free WIFI. A hairdryer and ironing facilities are also available.

The pricing of the villa includes bed linen, 2 towels per person (one small and one large) and a pool towel per person. It also includes weekly housekeeping including change of linen.

For our younger guests we offer free cots and high chairs which needs to be booked in advanced.

The villa is a 6 minute walk from the nearest bus stop (Gibjun), 20 minute walk from the town centre. A grocer is also a 10 minute walk away from the property. Various restaurants are available in the Blue Grotto area and the town centre. Ghar Lapsi also offers nice dining experiences together with a beautiful coastal area. More diverse food outlets together with fast food restaurants can be found at the airport and its neighbouring Skyparks building – 10 minute away.

A rocky beach is found at Blue Grotto (30 minute walk or 7 minute drive), another beautiful rocky beach is found at Ghar Lapsi. The nearest sandy beach is at Birzebbuga which is a 20 minute drive away from the property.

Beautiful villa in a peaceful village.

This beautiful, spacious villa provided the perfect base for a lovely holiday. It is set in a quiet village which is perfect for the type of holiday that we needed. You do need a car and a good sat nav to get around adequately. The villa itself is very clean and well stocked with several luxuries to make it a home from home. We really appreciated having the Bluetooth speaker in the living area. The pool area was also much appreciated, though in March the weather was still a little too cool to fully use the pool but warm enough to enjoy sitting around the pool in the sun. There are good local supermarkets with all that is needed for self-catering. We wish we had planned to stay longer and would definitely visit again.

Fabulous home to relax during your visit to Malta

We loved our stay at Villa Munqar! Janice & Charmaine at the Baldacchino Group were a pleasure to work with during the whole rental process. The villa is in a private setting but easily accessible to all of Malta. 3 large ensuite bedrooms. Wide open home and very well taken care of. Lots of natural light and there is plenty of room on the deck to enjoy the outside. Given we where there in December, the villa was a little cooler at night than expected given it's a stone building and there were constant winds coming off the ocean. Only a 6 minute drive over to the Blue Grotto area where there is a beautiful overlook and some great restaurants, specifically Cassarini Restaurant. The food and staff were absolutely delightful at Cassarini's.

Beautiful villa with stunning views

2 weeks at Villa Munqar June /July 2017. Of the many villas we have taken over the years Villa Munqar is one of the highest quality. The furnishings inside and out were of a high standard and the pool simply perfect. Dorothy and the team were helpful but never intrusive. Zurieq itself is quiet, but you are only 20 min drive from Valletta so the best of both worlds. We don't often return to the same villa but might be making an exception this time.

Private location, outstanding views!

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year with two other couples, and it was great! The villa has three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom/shower. There is a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, plus a half bathroom off the dining room, and even a full bathroom and sauna in the pool house. It is great for families or groups.

The location is a little remote at the end of a bumpy road, but nothing is too far away in Malta. It was only a few minutes to the nearest small grocery store, less than 10 minutes to the airport, and 20 minutes from Valletta. The surroundings are very quiet, and so is the house. A crying baby in one room didn't disturb the sleepers in another, and the house is within a secure courtyard with private parking protected by a motorized gate.

The kitchen is open very well equipped, and the house even came with extra amenities like a high chair, a crib, and a PlayStation 3!

The infinity pool is beautiful by itself, and there is a spectacular 180+ degree view of the island and the ocean. After a 5 minute walk down the street, you can even see the Blue Grotto.

We were already talking about our next trip to Malta before we left! The customer service from the owner was great from start to finish, and our deposit was returned in full the day after we left.

Secluded oasis

The property was in excellent shape and appropriately appointed for a rental. The pool was refreshing with a view over a big swath of Maltese countryside. We stayed here with our three children and had plenty of room. Each of the three bedroom suites was modern and well furnished with private en-suite bathrooms. The house was tastefully decorated while also child safe enough for our one and three year olds. In terms of opportunities, the sauna was inconvenient, as we would have needed to arrange with the owner 24 hours ahead of when we wanted to use it, We would have much preferred clear instructions and the ability to use it ad hoc. The location of the property is both a positive (relatively secluded and private) and an opportunity (down a rough road that made it unappealing to leave the house on foot). The gated grounds of the property itself were practical and well maintained. Eating a meal on the patio as the sun goes down is a relaxing experience!

Bookings are only confirmed on receiving of 50% deposit payment of the stay. Remainder is paid 20 days prior to arrival at the villa. A €300 breakage deposit is also paid on arrival and refunded upon inspection of the villa and no damages are found.
Sauna is available at an extra cost of €30 per use. This needs to be booked in advance.

Changeover Day:
Check in is usually at 4pm whilst check out is at 10am.
