Three bedroom mid century detached house set in large (1 acre) private wooded gardens, with views of the sea and Preseli Hills from the large sun terrace. Ample parking for several cars. 2 minutes walk from the Coastal Path, 10 minutes walk to the beach, train station or Sea Ferry to Rosslare, Ireland. Set on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park you have easy access to the beautiful beaches of Pembrokeshire including Whitesands and Newgale, Britain's smallest city - St. Davids, plus many other great places to visit.

About Sue Tarbitten & Gary Busby

Sue is an artist and it is her eye for colour and her intuition for design that you will experience during your stay at Ranelagh. The collection of colourful rugs (Persian, Afghan & Danish) were sourced by her partner Gary, who spent many years in the flooring business. We have been successfully renting out Ranelagh, a 3 bedroom mid-century house next door, as a holiday home for 3 years so decided to take early retirement in March 2016 in order to renovate Colliston, a 1960s bungalow next door. Eventually we will retire to one of the properties but in the meantime we intend to travel in our motorhome, when both houses are rented out. We have had a variety of careers (including looking after a country estate) and have lived abroad (Sue in Ireland and Switzerland and Gary in Mexico) but feel most at home in beautiful North Pembrokeshire. Eventually we would like to find time to slow down, enjoy our surroundings and make things!

Why Sue Tarbitten & Gary Busby chose Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is in our opinion the most beautiful part of Britain, with a coastline that extends for 185 miles, friendly people, lots of activities and great Welsh food - what more could you want? Some people say that it is a bit like Cornwall but without crowds - We think so, but our part of Pembrokeshire has better beaches by far!

What makes this house unique

Ranelagh is next door to Colliston ref 8236293 ( 3 bedrooms, sleeps 5), so large families or groups can book both houses. Ranelagh is a very light house and has that special feel that you only get next to the sea.

You can spend hours looking out of the windows of the living room and bedrooms with their sea and Preseli views. The wood burners in the reception rooms give a very special cosy feeling in the evenings and often you fall asleep to the sound of the wind in the trees mimicking ocean waves.

All of the beds are extremely comfortable, but dawn breaking across the Preseli Hills is a beautiful sight that entices you out of bed.

Notes:
Outside: There are 2 sun loungers as well as a hammock slung beneath the trees. The wildlife pond has a water feature set on a timer and it is 1 metre at its deepest. Please note that the garden is not completely enclosed therefore young children and animals should be supervised. Utility Room: Miele Washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen for 6 included. If your stay is for 2 weeks or longer and you request it, the property will be cleaned and towels and linen changed on a weekly basis. Other: There are stair gates at the bottom and top of the stairs. Please do not let dogs go upstairs.

Wonderful Home

The house is tucked on a hill so the views are really nice. The house was very cozy and it was well laid out with a nice sized kitchen for all 5 of us. We did not walk to the beach so cannot vouch for the path but have no doubt it would be a hike. We would definitely rent it again.

Superb Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ranelagh. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed - a real home from home. The garden was spectacular and the children enjoyed playing and exploring in it. We loved watching the birds from the dining room windows while we ate. The location in Goodwick was ideal for exploring the coast and beaches. We would love to return to Pembrokeshire to explore the area further. Many thanks,

Amazing views from the gorgeous gardens. Lovely house with everything you need.

Spacious house. Comfy beds which makes all the difference. Having breakfast in the garden looking at the amazing view just adds to the enjoyment. Gardens are brilliant for kids or dogs as there is so much space. Central location so you're never far away from something fun to do. Car is necessary tho. In the evening the house warms up beautifully so you can close the curtains and feel cozy. Would absolutely return to this place.

Ranelagh is one of the best equipped and beautifully appointed places we have ever stayed. The furnishings are high quality, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen a pleasure to cook in. In addition to the lovely, spacious house. Owners are lovely couple. Highly recommend.

Fantastic winter break

We were made very welcome upon arrival and the house was spotless and extremely comfortable for our family of 5 and our cocker spaniel. Sue advised us of all the places to visit and there were plenty of guides in the property to help plan your days out. We visited different landmarks, beaches and bays each day and every single place was stunning. Our children climbed rocks, paddled in the sea and went seal spotting! We can't comment on eating out in the area as the house had all the facilities we needed to eat in each night but there are restaurants nearby if you want.

The gardens to the house are extensive and the children played happily and safely there for hours during the week.

If you want to explore the area then we couldn't recommend Ranelagh enough as the perfect base!

Upon leaving Goodwick we even spotted seals in the bay which ended our Xmas break perfectly!
