About the Owner

Sue is an artist and it is her eye for colour and her intuition for design that you will experience during your stay at Ranelagh.

The collection of colourful rugs (Persian, Afghan & Danish) were sourced by her partner Gary, who spent many years in the flooring business.

We have recently retired to Colliston, the bungalow next door to Ranelagh so will be on hand for any questions you may have. As we are now living so close to Ranelagh, short breaks will be available. Please contact us to discuss.

A terrific home from home with great views

  • 5 of 5

Ranelagh is a well equipped and comfortable home with a great garden which made a great base for our family holiday (4 adults). We all loved the fantastic walks on offer along the coastal path and were thrilled to see seals on several occasions. We thoroughly recommend coasteering with the Celtic quest company. Had great visits to St David's, Dinas head, Tenby and the Preseli Hills. We all want to return to north Pembrokeshire.

The property is in a quiet residential area with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

The property is very spacious and well maintained. We found it to be very comfortable and well equipped, Sue and Gary have thought of everything you could possibly need. Even a medical cabinet which came in handy when after a long coastal walk I needed a plaster.

The information they have left at the house for circular coastal walks some on our doorstep others only a 20 minute drive in either direction invaluable. This was our first time in Wales and the coastal paths and stunning views were amazing. We will definitely be returning to Wales to carry on our coastal journey.

Sue and Gary were very welcoming and left us some eggs from their own chickens and also some runner beans freshly picked from their garden, both of these were delicious.

We both had a very relaxing week and coming from a very busy city appreciated the peace and quiet and the dark skies at night.

Excellent property very spacious amazing gardens

  • 5 of 5

Would definitely recommend especially for those with dogs my two loved it and the gate on the bottom of the stairs to stop them going up is a great idea. The house is very well equipped with everything you need lots of appliances. The wood burner is very welcoming and my brother in law insists he is having one! Really enjoyed our stay so a big thank you to Gary and Sue.

All that we hoped for

  • 5 of 5

Ranelagh is one of the best equipped and beautifully appointed places we have ever stayed. The furnishings are high quality, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen a pleasure to cook in. In addition to the lovely, spacious house, we thoroughly enjoyed the garden. Our weather was good, so we spent time every day sitting in the grounds at some point. There are a number of seating areas, each with its own aspect. Situated in Goodwick we were able to use Ranelagh as a base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and to visit a number of the fabulous beaches in the area.

A perfect base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast!

  • 5 of 5

A perfect base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast!

We stayed at Ranelagh with a group of four friends for walking the beautiful coast and countryside and of course exploring the local and regional pubs.

This large house is very well located in the upper parts of Goodwick. The garden is not only a dream for botanists but everyone who enjoys a vast diversity of flowers, trees and all kind of plants. On this very large site there is always a sunny place to find!

One can see that Ranelagh is not only a self catering House but a House that is also used by the owner. The large kitchen ist much better equipped than my own... You will not miss anything!! Except of two glasses which we unfortunately had broken...

The kitchen has also a very good coffemachine (which you can't see on the photos)!

The beds in all three bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated, one with a flat screen television. The bathroom has a powerful shower and is large an clean. As well as the whole house is very clean and welcoming! If necessary, the wood stove in the livingroom makes a cosy warmth in 30 Minutes (there also is one in the Diningroom). There is a 32" flat screen with all the programs you need. Wifi sometimes makes a break but with a little patience you will be reconnected.

All in all: Ranelagh rules!

From the Owner

Pembrokeshire is in our opinion the most beautiful part of Britain, with a coastline that extends for 185 miles, friendly people, lots of activities and great Welsh food - what more could you want? Some people say that it is a bit like Cornwall but without crowds - We think so, but our part of Pembrokeshire has better beaches by far!

From the Owner

Ranelagh is a very light house and has that special feel that you only get next to the sea. You can spend hours looking out of the windows of the living room and bedrooms with their sea and Preseli views. The wood burners in the reception rooms give a very special cosy feeling in the evenings and often you fall asleep to the sound of the wind in the trees mimicking ocean waves. All of the beds are extremely comfortable, but dawn breaking across the Preseli Hills is a beautiful sight that entices you out of bed.
