Apartment in Port de Pollenca, North Mallorca, Balearic Islands - communal pool with sunbeds, very close to beach/activities, local shops and restaurants.

The apartment is situated on the first floor of a clean and modern complex of just 12 apartments, located in the quiet residential area of Llenaire. In the rear courtyard area of the building is a good sized swimming pool, sunbeds and shower. The apartment itself has 3 bedrooms (one en suite), a family bathroom, front and rear balconies, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, large flat screen TV with satellite reception, WiFi, air conditioning in 2/3 bedrooms and in the main living area. The beach is 250m from the door. Local shops and restaurants are equally close, with the main shops and restaurants of Port de Pollenca just a 10 minute walk along the beach promenade. There is an access ramp at the front door and a lift in addition to the main staircase. Restaurants, bars and convenience stores start at just two minutes' walk away, with a wider selection available as you approach the main area.

A very spacious , light and airy apartment.

This lovely apartment is situated in the quiet end of Porto Pollensa ( Llenaire)There are about 5 restaurants and a Spar shop within a few minutes walk. The beach is also only a few minutes away.There is also a bus stop just around the corner if you like to explore on public transport and plenty of parking if you rent a car.If you (like us) enjoy an evening stroll ,the beach front prom runs right into the main town where you will find a large variety of bars ,restaurants and shops.(about 20-30mins walk).

Our first impression of the apartment was that it was light ,bright and airy and wonderfully clean!!!

The 3 bedrooms have ample storage and comfy beds!!.The kitchen is very well equipped and functional.The lounge is nice and comfortable with plenty of room to "chill out" after a hard day at the beach! I could go on about the stunning mountains,roomy balcony and pool area that's almost always empty,but I don't wish to bore you.....

All in all , this apartment ticked all the boxes for us , we sincerely hope it will for you too!!

Excellent Location

The apartment is spacious and has all the things you need, including aircon - fan in one bedroom but with the aircon elsewhere it wasn't really needed. Location is fantastic, down the quiet end of the Port Pollensa beaches. Some lovely restaurants nearby. Pool was always quiet, one or two families but sun loungers available. We had a great time.

Location

We first went to Mallorca in the mid-1990s and stayed near Port de Pollenca. Loved the atmosphere, the people and the island. We stayed in different areas on subsequent trips, but when we decided to buy we felt most at home in Port de Pollenca. It's just easy. Everything we need is there from shops and restaurants to the more mundane things like hardware and DIY stores. It's great for cycling (which we like to do), water sports, sightseeing or just walking along the beach. As neither my husband nor myself are good travellers, we love having the apartment in Mallorca as it's home away from home and so easy (and quick) to get to. Even in mid-winter Mallorca is always warmer than London and usually sunny.

Travel:

Palma airport is 65km from the apartment; approximately 45 minutes by car. There are a number of car hire firms at the airport and it is recommended that you book in advance. Taxis are also readily available at the airport. Once at the apartment, local amenities are largely accessible by foot and there is a good local taxi service for large grocery shops or trips into neighbouring towns.

Distances:

The centre of Port de Pollenca is a 10-15 minute walk. Old town Pollensa is a 10 minute drive.

Further Details:

A number of shops and businesses keep "siesta" hours. So, while they may close between 1-4pm, they're usually open much later into the evening. The large grocery stores are open all day long as are all the shops along the beach front.

Booking Notes:
On agreement of proposed rental dates, the renter will be issued with a contract setting out the terms of the rental. Twenty percent of the rental price is payable immediately to secure the booking and the remaining 80% is due eight weeks prior to the commencement of the letting.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible, but minimum stay is 1 week. Arrival time is 3.00pm and departure time is 11.00am.

Notes on prices:
Where a booking of extra days over the weekly rate is requested, they shall be charged at £85/day on a £425/wk rate; £100/day on a £500/wk rate; £160/day on a £800/week rate; and, £190/day on a £950/week rate.

The apartment is in a residential area and the building itself only has 12 flats — and half of those are owned by locals. So, the pool area is never over-full, the neighbours are generally quiet and everything you need is on your doorstep — including the beach. As the rear balcony overlooks the pool area, it's a great escape when you've had too much sun. It's the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cool drink while keeping an eye on the pool. Or, god forbid, to sit with the laptop and catch up on work if needs must.

  • Notes on accommodation: If you are staying multiple full weeks, cleaning and linen changes will be provided once per week after the first week. Additional cleaning/linen changes can be provided at additional cost. Cot beds and high chairs can be hired and in the apartment ready for your arrival at additional cost. Outside: There is a small balcony to the front of the building with a table and 2 chairs. There is a larger balcony to the rear overlooking the shared swimming pool and courtyard, and this has a table and 4 chairs. The shared swimming pool is reasonably large and there are a generous amount of sunbeds surrounding it. There is also an outdoor shower next to the pool. Utility Room: The utility is located at one end of the front balcony and holds a washing machine and utility sink. The boiler is also located here. There is a drying rack for clothing. There is also an ironing board and iron inside the apartment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: A set of towels per person are provided, as are bed and kitchen linens. Property will be cleaned before guest arrival and after departure. Additional full weeks booked include a cleaning and full linen change per week. No beach towels provided.
