Much Loved Four Bedroom, Three Bathroom Family House

Overview

Property

Updated: 07-Dec-2016
House in Mortehoe, Nr. Woolacombe, North Devon, England - Centrally Located In The Picturesque Village Of Mortehoe

Barricane House, formerly Barricane Inn, was built by my great, great grandfather Samuel Conibear in 1860. It has remained in the family ever since and is now a much loved and revisited holiday home. It is also used by us for more than 10 weeks a year and so it has many home comforts not usually found in a rental property.

  • Sleeps 8
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms, 1 Separate Toilet
  • Garden

Every 1 of us loved our stay in the village of mortehoe . cannot wait to go again. The property was spotless very well maintained and the information provided by the owners first class who answered any questions we had promptly. Thank you.

Very comfortable, well equipped, home from home

  • 5 of 5

Clean and well maintained property with all the facilities and equipment you need. Morthoe and surrounding area is a lovely place for sand, waves and coastal walks. Highly recommend the village stores, fish and chip shop and Rockleigh take away all of which are 2 minutes from the house.

Quaint & relaxed

  • 4 of 5

Clean, tidy - reminded me of the property of my childhood with mod cons ! Decent showers, kitchen and smart gas fire. A parking space and patio slabs under garden furniture would be a welcome improvement. Would stay again

A very homely and centrally placed property.

  • 4 of 5

Excellent for a large family or two small families. Modern bathrooms a bonus plus modern kitchen. Close to shops and pubs.

Morning croissants from neighbouring store a must!

Stayed four times over four years which speaks for itself.

Owners very approachable and helpful.

Facilities

From the Owner

Family home in the very centre of this beautiful village, with two play rooms for kids to play in and provide some 'peace' for parents & grandparents. The house was built by my great great grandfather and we have sympathetically modernised it whilst retaining its original character. Over 50% of our guests stay again and we think that says a lot about our house.
