The fully furnished Apartment is on 1. floor of a listed building in Berlin-Mitte. Bode-Museum on Museums Island, Oranienburger Strasse with the Synagogue and Hackescher Markt, Brandenburg Gate,"Unter den Linden“, Humboldt-University, Berlin Cathedral, Alexander Platz and Checkpoint Charlie are only 10 walking minutes away. The whole area is dotted with art galleries and theatres: that’s why we call our apartment "East End“! Two quiet double bedrooms situated in opposite corners of the large flat offer space for 4 PAX. A fit person could sleep on the sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a bath tub with shower, toilet and a washing machine. Towels and sheets are provided as is the Wi-Fi Broadband internet. Recommended for people with allergies. (We have easy-to-clean wooden floors and anti-allergic mattresses). No pets and no smoking allowed - but children are very welcome!

A 5% city tax applies and will be collected cash on arrival by our caretaker. If you are a business traveler you are tax exempt if you provide a form to prove the business trip.

Great trip!

Truly wonderful apartment and really spacious for 2 friends. Incredibly quiet (day and night) and absolutely perfect for public transport. Very generous hosts and all items of good quality - kitchen appliances etc. Heating easily adjustable and we were warm and cosy in February despite the size of the place. The fridge broke while we were there but Dagmar was a star: repair man came in and she lent us a cool box for a few days. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower - not common in rental properties. Really excellent place. We were very happy with our choice and hope to return.

Marathon weekend

Really lovely property and in a great location. So many little bits to make our stay comfortable. Plenty of space, all of the needed amenities provided. Communication prior to checking in was amazing. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!!!!!

Fantastic apartment, perfectly located

This spacious, very clean and well cared for apartment is one of the best equipped places we have ever stayed. It's quiet but central location with easy access to sights, eateries, bars and transport was perfect for our stay. Communication with Elfie and Dagmar was easy throughout the booking process and rental period and Dagmar gave us a warm welcome which was much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend the apartment to friends.

great apartment and location

myself and a friend came for the Berlin marathon. The apartment is really big and was perfect. checkin was superb and easy..great comms. location was superb, close to the underground for getting around. next to the river and in a great spot for restaurants/ bars. For anyone doing the marathon or for visiting….it’s about 10-15 minutes walk to the Brandenburg gate, where the start line is and it was great to not have to deal with public transport, especially afterwards. Defo recommended

We live in the Balearic since 1989 and love it here. We use our Berlin apartment whenever we get tired of the island life and need distraction and culture. At other times we rent it out to nice visitors who want to experience Berlin from the very city center but in a peaceful quiet environment - which our apartment provides.

Why they chose this property

Berlin is our second home!
That is why we have an Apartment here.
The area is just perfect for us when we arrive from super tranquil Ibiza. In spite of being in the city's centre the apartment is very quite as it is located in the back yard of the building.
All of the places and activities we like we can reach by bicycle, even visiting our friends in the old West.
Mitte is the place if you enjoy shows, going to the theatre and visiting exhibitions and the like.
The river Spree is just around the corner as are most of the important Museums of Berlin.

What makes this property unique

The location made us buy this apartment - you cannot be more central in Berlin and have a view onto a leafy lush garden, away from traffic noise and pollution. Close to the river, everything in walking distance, great for cycling, no car needed, and if one does, a garage is around the corner. Vibrant and alive area once you step out of the house, cross the river and dive into the "Scheunenviertel" near the Synagogue…
