Our home can easily accommodate parties up to 8 but is equally suited to a family who are looking for space and comfort close to all the best of West London. We have installed wifi throughout, flat screen TVs in three of the rooms and a Sonos music system in addition to CD players so you can enjoy our collection. We are walking distance to Turnham Green Terrace and Devonshire Road with fantastic boutiques and restaurants of every nature. Chiswick High Road has all the major supermarkets and the Westfield Shopping Mall with all the brand names as well as a multiplex cinema is minutes away. Chiswick House with its beautiful Gardens is close by and Ravenscourt Park is 5 minutes walk. The park has a large adventure playground. The bus that goes to Oxford Street and Central London leaves at the end of our road. Finally if you fancy a stroll by the River, that is also a short walk away. Metered parking is available outside the property. We are 30 minutes from Heathrow and 20 minutes to Central London.

About Dan Chavasse

My wife and I are a professional couple with two boys. We are Irish and British and have lived in Hong Kong for over 15 years. We have a holiday home in Koh Samui, Thailand which is also listed on this site and we have a base in London, which we use occasionally during term times as our children are at boarding school in England.

Both of these properties are listed and available for short term rentals. They are our homes full of many treasured things to remind us of our travels. We hope you enjoy them and treat them as your home from home too.

We love the peaceful nature of the road and its friendly neighbours. It is very close to parks, shops and restaurants and is well served by public transport to the airports and Central London as well as businesses to the West of London.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the newly renovated outcome of the house. We now have a separate utility area, separate living rooms and lots of TVs so no arguments. It has plenty of space for our family and friends and a pretty garden. The house has been brought right up to date with all the modern conveniences including aircon and wifi and yet retains its period charm.

The twin rooms both have single beds with trundle beds that pull out to make full sized single beds.There is also a study.

Notes on accommodation: The property was fully refurbished over 9 months in 2013 and designed with families in mind. With high ceilings and abundant natural light there is a real feeling of space and this is complemented by the quiet location. Yet central London is just 20 minutes away. The house is managed by the architect/project manager who lives locally and she will meet and greet our guests. Please note that in high season there is a minimum stay of 5 nights. Outside: To the front of the house there is a small garden, to the rear an extensive patio which can be lit at night and a good sized mature garden. Utility Room: The utility area is in the basement and contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, airer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: As part of the rental, the house will be cleaned weekly and fresh towels and linen provided. Other: We have a study with printer on the first floor with business grade wifi.

Chiswick House

Myself and six friends were met by the delightful Natalie on arrival wielding milk and other essentials already provided. The house was so much more than we had expected. We didn't need the frantic running around to get the best bedroom as they were all spacious and light (we still did though). The kitchen/dining/snug provided the much needed communal area for chatting, eating and the essential drinking wine. There was an endless supply of hot water - necessary for seven ladies! A short walk to Chiswick High Road was an unexpected jewel - numerous shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. At the end of the road a bus stop takes you directly into Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus - no changes on the No. 94. I am sure there is a wealth of other things to explore in and around Chiswick. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others going with groups of friends or family.

Great stay in London

The house is very nice and spacious. enough bedrooms and bathrooms. and a lovely spacious kitchen.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood . with enough parking

( paid , but in the weekend free )

The metro is within walking distance, 20 min. to Piccadilly.

We recomand the Oistercard.

Harry Potters studio Tour is 45 min. By car.

The receipt and delivery of the keys went fine.

We enjoyed the stay very much!

Dunfermline - Scotland

Beautiful property - perfect location

We spent a week in London staying in this wonderful house in Chiswick with our son, his partner and also two of our daughters. Our booking was handled very efficiently by Dan, the owner. The house is situated in a nice quiet street which is less than a minute away from the 94 bus to Picadilly Circus. There's also an underground station about 5 minutes walk, so transport to the city centre is easy.

We were met on arrival by Natalie who made sure we were comfortable with everything in the house. She also gave us tips on local shopping and transport - it was very well managed.

The property is perfectly designed for family living with a fantastic kitchen and living area that leads directly to the rear garden - a lovely space to relax, plus a sitting room, lots of SMART TV's and SONOS sound system - and wifi too. There are four large very comfortable double bedrooms, two of them ensuite - and a family bathroom. Everything is like new and spotlessly clean. We prefer this style of living to hotels because of the flexibility and space and were delighted with our choice.

During our stay we all bought the London Pass, plus Oyster card for about £100 and had three days of busy sight seeing - great value. There are that many things to do so it's worth planning ahead to get the most from your visit. Chiswick High Road is about a 10 minute walk from the house and has lovely shops restaurants and bars if you want to relax locally.

I would book to stay here again if we return to London for another holiday, and I'd also recommend it to family and friends. This booking deserves five stars.

Perfect stay

Renting this house was a perfect solution for our family of 8 adults. It was very clean, well equipped, efficient, and beautifully designed. The kitchen has modern appliances, there is a washer and separate dryer (unusual for London!), the bathrooms are gorgeous, and the top-floor master suite is on a par with any luxury hotel room. It's an easy bus or tube ride to anywhere in the West End, and the residential neighborhood is safe and relatively quiet. The only snag was having just one front door key for our large party.

Perfect for us

We booked this property for a holiday with our 3 children and their spouses. Each of us had a comfortable uncluttered bedroom. Photos do not do justice to the beautiful decoration of this home. When we first arrived, taking the train from Edinburgh to the underground and then walking our luggage to the house I was worried that it was too far away from the center of London. That concern quickly receded as we arrived and settled in. We stayed for 10 days while we toured London. Each day we took either the underground or a bus into the city. The facilities in the house are superb. We had excellent internet for our many electronic devices. Our children were super impressed with the high definition smart TVs with wifi access. We did laundry every night using the convenient good capacity washer and drier. The kitchen is well equipped with excellent appliances, dishes and utensils. We were able to shop for food at the local grocery stores which were a short walk from the house. We ordered dinner in a couple of times using justeat.com. The large kitchen table was perfect for family meals and game playing. The owners and their agent were very receptive to all of our questions and needs. We asked about a hair drier and one appeared at the front door the next day. This home was a major factor in the wonderful time that our family had together in London.

Wonderful location and house

We stayed at this house for 4 nights and I would have stayed 4 weeks!!!!!!

It's located in a beautiful neighborhood, very quiet. The bus stop just half block from the house. In 20 minutes you are at Picadilly Circus.

The house is simply perfect. Everything brand new, very comfortable and decorated and designed with exquisite taste.

There is a Stainsbury just 4 blocks from the house.

Natalie, the manager, and Dan, the owner, were absolutely gentle and helpful.

If I come back I would go again!

Close to three underground stations and a bus stop is at the end of the road.

Metered parking available outside property but there is no need for a car to explore London from here as public transport links are very efficient.


5-10 minute walk to shops and restaurants.

20 minutes into Central London and all its attractions.
