Apartment in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales - Only A Few Steps To Either The Main Town Or The Harbour And Tenbys Beautiful North And South Beaches

The property is recently refurbished to a high standard, the rooms are airy and comfortable spreading out over two floors and look out over Tenby High Street, great for sitting and people watching in the tall bay windows. The apartment is literally above the High Street so brilliantly located for short walks to Tenby's lovely restaurants and pubs or shopping, there is less than a minute in the opposite direction to reach the clean and endless beaches and the pretty harbour just below. There are two double bedrooms, a twin with an en-suite bathroom and a double bedroom with a single 'day' bed that can sleep a third adult or child, there is plenty of room for a travel cot as well. An additional two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed in the main lounge, there is also a bathroom on this floor. The property now benefits from free Wi-Fi and dogs are allowed on request.

The place is as the pictures show. Light, clean and very spacious.

It has to be one of the better equipped self catering place I have stayed in. That includes kitchen and cleaning equipment. A good range of dvds and books for any rainy or lazy days spent in doors.

Close to the shops and the beaches. At the time of year I visited it was quiet with the expection of the bells of the church but nothing to complain about just noting it.

Another review said that there was no handrail at bottom of the stairs, while this is still the case, it is only a small number and the structure of the builiding does not seem to allow one to be added.

The owner was easy to get hold off and quickly answered any questions I had. Would recomend as a first choice and first class place to stay in Tenby.

Just the job

We arrived at the flat and had no problems picking the keys up. The flat is directly above Holland and Barretts. Boots the Chemist and a Tesco Metro are just next door. It's right in the centre of town and handy for everything. The flat was extremely clean, tidy, modern, comfortable and well equipped.

There are two bedrooms, two single beds with an ensuite bathroom and one room at the front, looking over St Mary's Church, with a double bed. Beds nice and comfortable and new. There are two flat screen TV's one in the bedroom and one in the lounge dining room with a freeview selection of channels. We stayed through the week from Tuesday to Sunday at the end of June. It can be quite noisy in the street during the evening but soon dies down once the pubs have chucked out and everyone's gone home. There was no one in the other flats in our building when I stayed so can't comment on noise from neighbours. One flat above us and one opposite us. The entrance stairway could do with a bannister at the bottom. My brother has slight mobility problems and he said that a bannister would have helped. The front door to the block was a bit of a nuisance, sticking all the time, it needed the door frame or door to be planed to free it up. Could cause problems if there were other people in the flats coming in late and having to bang the door to get it shut. All minor problems that could be easily fixed by the owners. So all in all highly recommended as a central flat in the centre of Tenby. Tenby is brilliant as well, such a lovely place.

The flat is so perfectly placed, it is brilliant for people watching in the evenings with a glass of wine sat in the windows overlooking the High Street and just a few yards out of the door to the top of the Harbour and the North Beach.

Nearest Train : TENBY RAIL STATION at 0.5 Miles Nearest Beach : NORTH BEACH at 200 Metres Car: not necessary


Tenbys North and South beaches are a very short walk from the property, there is plenty on offer locally from boat rides, tours, coasteering, both beaches are clean with safe swimming areas in season, the Summer season sometimes boasts volleyball competitions and plenty of ice cream vans and on beach refreshment and facilities

Further Details:

There are many other attractions a few miles from Tenby itself, there is a golf course near by, Heatherton activity park is a few miles away, as is Saundersfoot town. It is a short trip to attractions like Oakwood and the whole Pembroke coast.

  • Notes on accommodation: We hope you will enjoy the beach house feel of our property, it has been decorated specifically to be airy and neutral to reflect the beauty of the town and beaches that surround it. We have included many games, DVD's and books as well as modern entertainment systems for the odd rainy day in, the kitchen and dining area is well equipped for sitting around over a take away from the excellent selection of shops in the town and we have posted menus on the welcome board if you don't want to venture out on your arrival, we would recommend many eating establishments locally, especially the Plantagenet, the Bay Tree and the Mews diner, the Bucanner has some of the best pub food in town and morning coffee in the Quay room is a cosy must. The apartment is a few steps away from the harbour and both of Tenbys fabulous beaches, there are boat rides to Caldey Island from the harbour and the harbour itself is a lovely stroll in the evening with the boats chiming in the harbour. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: There is fresh linen provided on the beds and tea and kitchen towels, guests are asked to provide their own bath and beach towels. Other: There is a dining area that seats six comfortably between the lounge and kitchen space.
