Apartment in Es Castell, Menorca, Balearic Islands - 10 Minutes Walk From The Sea And Many Good Restaraunts

The apartment occupies the second and third floor (there is not a lift) and has its own external front door. On the second floor are the twin and single bedrooms (both with balconies overlooking the pool), a separate shower and toilet, a large sitting room (with balcony) and fully fitted kitchen. On the third floor is the large master bedroom with balcony and en-suite and a superb roof terrace with stunning harbour views.

About the Owner

I live in Norfolk UK and this is my wonderful apartment in Menorca where I continue to enjoy my summer holidays. Within minutes of landing I can take in the glorous sea views from my roof terrace and unwind immediately, knowing that I am beginning a great holiday. Within a few minutes walk are some great restaurants and little bars, many on the pretty harbour.

Menorca is a wonderful island to explore and has the advantage of great public transport. The locals are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Menorca is such a wonderful island and so easy to get to (less than 2hrs from UK) the climate is a dream. The island remains unspoilt by high rise developments and retains much of its natural beauty. Being relatively small, only about 70km by 50km, everywhere is easy to get to and the buses are very reliable. Es Castell is a charming old town within walking distance of the capital (Mahon). Situated at the entrance to Mahon harbour, there are stunning harbour views.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest cove is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. It is rocky but there are good steps down into the water

Travel:

Transfer time from Mahon Airport is 15 minutes by taxi. Car hire not necessary as buses are very reliable to all parts of the island

Distances:

Es Castell is a twenty minute walk from the capital, Mahon.

Sandy Beaches at Binebeca are twenty minutes by bus.

The historic old capital of Cuitadella is an hour by bus.

Further Details:

Es Castell has several supermarkets, local bakeries and delicatessens as well as banks and a chemist. All within walking distance of the apartment

The property has stunning sea views from the balcony and the roof terrace, overlooking the historic fort on Tags Island. Yachts and liners regularly pass en route to the port of Mahon. There are many good restaurants in the town of Es Castell. Particularly to be recommended are those dotted around the beautiful cove of Cala Fons, all within easy walking distance. Es Castell has all the facilities you would expect - good supermarkets, banks, chemist yet all very unspoilt. At the apartment there is a pool and garden shared with the other 5 apartments all within a gated private complex.
