Situated right on the edge of the water, this beautiful apartment has breath taking ocean views and is very conveniently located near the harbour in a quiet cul-de-sac. The well-appointed apartment is located on the ground floor (approached via a few external steps with hand rails) and consists of an open-plan living area with stunning sea views and includes kitchen, lounge and dining area with balcony overlooking the ocean. It has 2 double bedrooms, a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room. PLEASE NOTE THIS APARTMENT HAS A FRIDAY CHANGEOVER DAY.

About the Owner

We are a recently retired couple, who fell in love with the apartment and Ilfracombe and now live in the town. We love being by the sea and going for long walks along the coastal footpath. The views along the cliff tops are truly stunning and the sea air is exhilarating. Our children and grandchildren love to visit and we all go surfing, kayaking or even swimming in the sea.

The restaurants are excellent, often run by husband and wife and offer very good value for money. We enjoy visiting the local theatre and cinema - it is all on the doorstep!

We have fallen head over heels in love with your seaside flat and beautiful Ilfracombe. Such a rejuvenating stay! We've loved the local walks, strolls along the coast path and watching the sun both rise and set over the sea. Such an amazing stay, we have loved every minute!



We have had a superb break in this lovely flat, watching the rocks appear and then disappear at high tide. Thank you so much for allowing us to experience your wonderful flat. Hopefully we will return in the future.

Modern well equipped apartment with a stunning vie

Fantastic apartment in great location near Ilfracombe harbour. Little touches by the owners really make the stay special. We arrived to a welcome pack of wine, chocolate etc. Also there was beach mats , wind breaks and body boards available for us to use. Numerous restaurants in the surrounding area but get booked up quickly.

Owner's Response: There are some very good restaurants in Ilfracombe, often quite small and run by a husband and wife team, but they do get booked up especially in the summer holidays. Next year we will send a list of them a couple of weeks before the booking, to enable guests to book a table.

Location, Location, Location

This property is absolutely stunning, the views fully living up to those in the listing. also located so close to the centre of Ilfracombe so everything is on your doorstep as are many local scenic walks. Ifracombe is also a fantastic place to explore this part of the country should you want to go further afield.

But back to the property. As previous reviewers have mentioned the provision of a welcome pack and a parking permit really give this rental a sixth star. The furnishings in the apartment are beautiful with the most comfortable beds I can remember sleeping on. You really feel like you are borrowing someone's home

Wendy and Neale proved very friendly and helpful in the build up to the holiday quickly responding to emails. Thank you to the both of them for making this such a fantastic holiday for us. I cannot praise the whole experience highly enough

Beautiful apartment & wonderful views

Apartment exactly as described, very clean, well maintained with everything provided with a lovely welcome pack which was really appreciated. Called the housekeeper once and she was most helpful. Without a doubt would recommend this apartment with the views, privacy, quietness and easy access to the harbour, local facilities restaurants etc. . Visitors book was helpful as previous visitors had listed places to visit, eat and things to do. Excellent service from the owners with full instructions. Highly recommended.

holiday from Oz

The apartment is very well equipped but bathroom facilities for four adults a little lacking - ensuite almost too small. OK for a couple of children 'tho. Parking away from the unit is not ideal and it will be much better when all renovations in the street are complete. We were clouded by our very fond memories of Devon some 40 years ago and should not have tried to revisit them. The weather did not help!

Beautiful, spotless apartment in dramatic location

We had a wonderful few days in this gorgeous apartment.

It seemed so clean that we were convinced we were the first guests until we saw the visitors book and the many glowing reports inside.

The owners had obviously gone to great lengths to make the place seem like home and had left a very generous welcome pack. Heartfelt thanks to them. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish apartment with a view as from the bow of a ship!

Can't take your eyes off the view

Getting into the property is very straightforward, the instructions for getting the keys are simple and easy to follow. There is street parking outside the building, but spaces are limited. We learned quickly how to get the timing right to get an overnight space.

The first impression of the apartment is space and light with the view from the main windows a 180 degree seascape. The changing sea and the constant seabirds made a fascinating outlook at any time of day.

The apartment is spotlessly clean and is probably the best-equipped we have stayed in ( and we have stayed in a lot, worldwide. The welcome pack of tea, coffee and chocolate is a nice touch..........as is the bottle of wine and glasses waiting on the table.

Bedrooms are comfortable although the en-suite shower room in the main bedroom is a trifle small and a bit of a wok of art to use. Towels are plentiful and the bath towels are huge!

The property lived up to its description and satisfied all our needs.....and more. It is a short walk to good local restaurants and shops for most food requirements.

Would we return? Definitley!

Owner's Response: A parking permit is supplied for all full week bookings between mid March and end October. This allows parking in nearby car parks (less than 150 metres away) and also car parks in Mortehoe, Croyde, Barnstaple and South Molton.

Location

From the Owner

As soon as we walked into the apartment we were struck by the stunning view of the sea and coastline through the huge bay window. It is like having the sea in your living room! We never tire of sitting looking out of the window at the sea and passing boats - the sea looks different every day, sometimes rough, sometimes calm but always interesting. The difference between high and low tide can be an amazing 10 metres. It is wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony in the summer, and wander around the harbour area and up Lantern and Capstone hills. North Devon and Exmoor are beautiful areas with excellent sandy surfing beaches and dramatic scenery - we love it!

Coast/Beach:

Located on the spectacular South West coastal footpath and 100 metres to working harbour (Damien Hirst's unique bronze statue 'Verity' is at the harbour entrance) and sandy harbour beach. The fascinating Blue Flag Tunnels beaches, with a large Victorian seawater swimming pool and renowned rock pools are within easy walking distance.

The long golden sand surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands are a short drive or bus ride away.

Travel:

Nearest railway station is Barnstaple (13 miles away), with a good bus service to Ilfracombe directly outside the railway station.

Distances:

Ilfracombe is close to Exmoor National Park (approx. 5 miles) and is 12 miles from Lynton and Lynmouth, with it's unique water-powered cliff railway. It is 15 miles from Barnstaple, which has an interesting Pannier Market which operates daily.

Further Details:

Ilfracombe town centre has numerous independent shops, 3 supermarkets, a theatre, cinema, swimming pool and gym. It also has an interesting museum and plenty of good pubs and restaurants.

The apartment is only 100 metres from the harbour and the sandy harbour beach and is on the coastal footpath. Amazing restaurants and pubs and the town centre are all within easy walking distance. Walk out of the apartment and up Capstone Hill for excellent views over the town and out towards Wales and Lundy Island. Walk in the other direction up Hillsborough for more fantastic views. There is always something to do or see, whatever the weather - enjoy!
