House near Beaumont du Perigord, Dordogne, Aquitaine, France - Peaceful location near Beaumont within easy reach of The Dordogne and much more

This old stone barn is situated in a small, quiet hamlet and offers comfortable accommodation for up to 6 guests in 2 double bedrooms and a twin. The house is a 5 minute drive from the pretty bastide town of Beaumont and 25 minutes from Bergerac airport. Beaumont is one of many beautiful local towns with its restaurants and markets, and is in easy reach of the heart of the Dordogne river and chateaux. The large, comfortable sitting room has a log burner, Wi-Fi, TV with Sky Freeview satellite, DVD player and a dining area. The well equipped kitchen/diner has a range cooker, dishwasher and a separate utility room has a washing machine. The main bedroom is situated on the ground floor with its own ensuite (there is a separate toilet) and the double and twin are upstairs with a shower room/toilet. Outside space includes a BBQ, garden with a covered veranda, beautiful views of the countryside, swings and access to the private and secure 10m x 5m pool.

About Sarah Farwell

We bought ’La Grange’ in March 2013 after spending several holidays with our 2 young daughters in the Dordogne area. It’s a cliché but we totally fell in love with the beauty of the region, its amazing food and wine, the river, the chateaux with their stunning views, night markets and generally the slower pace of life.

The house for us is a gem – we hope it has a homely feel for those who visit and anyone who goes there wants for nothing and enjoys its tranquil and relaxing ambience.

Beautiful place with a gorgeous pool, perfect for a family getaway

Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful pool and converted barn with exposed beams with modern accessories. Lovely town and people nearby with lots of stuff on. Only issues we found were that the town was a drive away so someone always had to drive. Would have been nice to have been provided with some more towels and some washing powder but they are small issues. Be careful if you are on the taller side as there are some low ceilings, doors and beams although my 6 foot 3 boyfriend survived without much issue.

Delightful house in an excellent location.

The house is well appointed,very comfortable and nicely furnished. Great rural location with easy access to the delights of the Dordogne. The swimming pool is a good size.

A gorgeous French farmhouse

If you want peace and quite and to sample real France, look no further. It's clean, quite and only a short drive away from a quaint market town. The owners have a great in farmhouse guide on "things to do" and restaurant recommendations, just do them! You can just soak up the sun by the pool if you need to relax, it's nice to have quality options when on holiday. I intend to go back year after year. It's genuinely the perfect bolt hole for a family or a romantic retreat.

A Fantastic Getaway

What a lovely farmhouse! Lots of character and an easy space to live in during our hol. It was fully equipped with everything you could want and the BBQ area was great for sitting out in the evenings. Location wise, the town is a only a 5 minute drive away with a few nice restaurants and more importantly a bakery! Loads of things to do in the surrounding areas, would definitely visit again! 5 stars from Mr & Mrs Kay

Changeover day is Saturday. However if guests require a different changeover day, this may be possible.
Guests may access the house after 4pm and departure is by 10am on the last day.

Notes on accommodation: A travel cot and folding high chair are available on request. The stairs are open and a stair gate is fitted at the top. There is an additional stair gate to use if required. Outside: There is a large courtyard at the front of the house, and a garage to park your car in to keep it cool! At the rear of the house is a private garden with covered veranda and dining area overlooking the beautiful countryside - a perfect spot for outdoor dining with a nice glass of the local wine! There is a charcoal barbecue available for guests to use, a double swing for the kids and your very own fig tree! The private pool (10m x 5m) is accessed via the garden and is fully fenced, with a child proof catch on the self-closing gate and an alarm. Around the pool are sun loungers, umbrellas and a table. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, microwave, clothes airer, iron and ironing board and an additional drinks fridge. Guests are welcome to use the badminton set, any inflatable pool toys, baby sunshade and a sets of children’s and adult’s boules. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, hand and bath towels (not pool towels) are included in the price. An additional clean/bed change can be arranged – this is to be paid locally.
