Fantastic property set in a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in the property for 4 days during the August bank holiday with my husband and parents and had a truly memorable time. The barn converted house is set in a beautiful location, furnished and kept in top-notch condition and very clean. Things that require special mention are the kitchen that was very well equipped with utensils of all kinds, gadgets including a cd player, 2 bathrooms and an additional closet. The place is thoughtfully and meticulously done up with great attention to minute aspects. During our stay we visited the red kite feeding centre, elan valley dam, judges lodgings and travelled beside the coast on the Cambrain rail apart from the many walks that are easily accessible and were very kindly mentioned in their list of activities to do. There are lot more things one can get to do and see from here. We had a memorable time and would definitely return here on the next opportunity.

Stunning Accomodation designed with sympathy to its peaceful, rural surroundings

  • 5 of 5

As a teacher, I was looking forward to a peaceful break and this fitted the bill perfectly. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed a walking holiday here. My husband has mobility problems so the downstairs bedroom with en suite was ideal. The barn is open plan, modern and very comfortable. It is good value and we couldn't fault it! I

lovely holiday home surrounded by relaxing countryside

  • 5 of 5

The accommodation was of a high standard. Very comfortable to have two bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The shower cubiles were great. Lovely waking up to the sounds of the countryside. Wee lambs outside at this time of year- lovely to watch. TV's in every room a great facility- our daughter always wants to watch different things from us. She loved her own 'zone' downstairs. Having an extra toilet very convenient too.

Great to sit at the dining table looking out the French window. When warm enough it was very relaxing to sit in the patio area and admire the scenery. The weather was very good- though cool at times. Great dark skies at night to look at the stars.

The connecting farm was not in our view from most windows- though the family are very friendly and helpful if you need it. A nearby farm sells fresh eggs which were very tasty. Not really walking distance to any local pub but lots of places to visit not too far in the car. We toured around a lot, to the north and south from the house.

Would love to return for another holiday.

Lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the cleanest and well equipped places we have stayed in. My wife warned me that there was no log fire to play with when she found the property, but everything else more than made up for this! Communication from the owners was very prompt and most helpful.

The property is well equipped and to a high standard, a little shed has cushions for the outside chairs and a BBQ.

There are TVs in the lounge and both bedrooms with freesat channels and DVD. Plenty of seating - 4 seater sofa, two armchairs, 4 chairs at the dining table and 2 stools at the breakfast bar. Kitchen well equipped, it was a nice touch that there were tablets provided for the dishwasher and caplets for the washing machine. There is BT broadband but (probably due to being so far from the exchange) the ADSL is slow/intermittent - it's good enough to browse website slowly, don't think about netflix though!

We would very happily stay here again, and would 100% recommend this accommodation.

Peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

A very comfortable stay in this lovely property. If peace is what you are looking for then this is for you. Lovely walks on the doorstep and easy access to nearby towns. Do go to the small breeds and owl centre near Kington.

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We booked to stay in Orchard barn in early December to have a short stay to visit family within the local area. The Barn has been converted to a very high standard, and the place was spotless. The kitchen had everything you needed plus the extra touches provided. The welcome folders and instructions was a nice to touch. Overall a fantastic stay, would highly recommend and look forward to booking in the summer, just one note a anti slip mat for the up stairs shower room is required for small children.
