Sea-World sea life centre, located in the marina, the Dolphinarium, in the centre of Benalmadena, cable cars taking you to the top of the mountains for the breathtaking views, and numerous restaurants and bars.

Hi I'm Neil, and i have lived in Spain with my wife and 3 children for 9 years now. We came here to give the children a better more relaxed way of life. We live in a typical Spanish village not far from Malaga, so why don’t you come over to stay in the apartment, and enjoy a bit of Spain with us!

My girlfriend and i have just spent the last 5 nights in Torremuelle,and it has been wonderful from start to finish.

Neil and Tanya set us up perfectly with a few essentials(including an ice cold beer which was hugely appreciated after a long journey)

We did plan to explore further afeild over our holiday,but ended up staying local as we just couldn't drag ourselfs far away from those amazing sea views,also the local bars(bar blanco in particular and restuarants serve fantastic reasonably priced food.

We defiantly recommend the rossini from lucenas,just around the corner,yum!!

All in all a brilliant week,and we are already thinking about coming back.

Very good apartment

Apartment: Pictures are accurate. Very clean, well-equipped, nicely decorated and comfortable. Balcony view of the sea is excellent. Little direct sun when we visited May/June, but just as well or we’d have baked. Enjoy the late sun by sitting by the front door. Moonlight on the sea and the sound of the waves … wonderful. Plus: Neil Cannon was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Thanks, Neil!

Building and facilities: Clean, well-maintained secure building with two lifts (apartment is on the first floor). Clean, well-maintained pool. The beach bar at the bottom of the building wasn’t open when we were there.

Neighbourhood: Quite attractive, though not much scope for a local stroll in the evening. Three bar-cafes in Av. de la Armada nearby, of which the best by a mile is Lucena II. Excellent, well-priced food and drink, wifi and great staff. (If you’re on your way home in a taxi from a day out, just give Lucena Dos as your destination.) Supermarket in Armada is friendly and quite well stocked. Worth a climb to the Torre (tower) which gives Torremuelle its name for a great view of the hills and down the coast to Fuengirola. Similar view from Blankko bar-restaurant just below it.

Transport: Train service is excellent. The station’s at the top of a fairly steep hill, but there are lifts to the underpass between platforms. Tickets are from a machine on the platform (‘ida’ for a single, ‘ida y regresso’ for a return.) Note that Benalmadena station is usually called Arroyo de la Miel, from the district where it’s located. Taxis are reasonably priced.

Where to visit: We weren’t keen on Benalmadena, though if you want to do a food etc shopping go to the Supersol near Arroyo station. Buenalmadena Pueblo is another story: lovely village. Take a taxi there for 8-10 euros (ask for Plaza de Espana) or 121 bus from stop beside taxi rank at Arroyo. Pleasant to wander round, have tapas and drinks in the afternoon at La Nina then follow the sun across the square to La Fuente for an evening meal. Perfect. The 121 will also take you by a fairly hair-raising route to Mijas Pueblo, much bigger but also picturesque and with a proper tourist office. If you're driving ... friends visited Benal the week we returned and they drove comfortably to visit Gibraltar in one direction and Nerja/Frigiliana in the other.

Verdict: Great apartment whether you want to stay put all day or use as a base. Would definitely consider returning.

What you see is what you get , great location

First time back on this coast for a number of years , it has without doubt improved immensely over the last ten years. Our review is based upon being a retired couple and things we look for when booking.

First of all what a pleasure to deal with Neil and Tanya , lovely 😊? couple who,made the experience stress free from booking till departure .

Apartment is well placed for travelling up and down the coast , buses within easy walk and cheap , 3 10 euros for a couple to travel each way to and from Fuingirola. The balcony view from the apartment is a special place to relax after a day out and about or on the beach . It has everything you need to make the experience enjoyable , although only one floor up from main entrance the lifts are a real bonus, fast and always working.

Security is very good and we had no worries whatsoever .

The number of restaurants within walking distance is fairly limited if dining out is your choice , supermarkets close by , two , but again do not expect too much.

Would we return , without doubt.

Good holiday

A nice apartment. The train station at the top of the hill is brilliant and cheap. If you like a happy hour try the Playa Bonita hotel. Very Good.

Great location and views

My partner and I stayed here recently and we had a very relaxing stay. The views were amazing and the sound of the sea/waves was so relaxing. A quiet central location with a small supermarket, bars and a few restaurants nearby. Not far from Torremule railway station either. Neil was very helpful and accommodating and even picked us up/took us back to the local station. The apartment was clean and adequate for our stay. We would highly recommend this apartment and would have no hesitation of staying there again. If you want to chill and relax this property is ideal.

An excellent holiday in Torremuelle

A comfortable apartment with lovely views and a very handy location. Sunrise and sunset were particularly striking (in November it was easy to experience both!)

A flat which would cope well with summer heat (2 very impressive aircon units) and winter cold (the aircon has a heating function and there are sliding screens on the balcony)

The bus goes past the building and the train station is less than 10 minutes away (The map on the website is misleading in this regard). We used the train to go to Malaga (lovely city) and Ronda (spectacular).

Plenty of restaurants very close by (though some were closed when we visited) and a very handy bakery and a minimarket less than 5 minutes away. The minimarket sold fresh milk - great if you like weetabix and cups of tea.

Neil met us at Torremuelle station, which was great, and the welcome pack was a nice touch. It was reassuring to read a previous review describing the help Neil and Tanya had given to a visitor who had had their bag stolen. It's a steep walk back up to the station, so the lift at the end of our stay was much appreciated

Overall, we're delighted with the choice we made and would happily stay there again.

Great relaxing break in the sun

Lovely apartment with breathtaking views over the sea from the balcony. Clean and tidy with everything you require, very comfy double bed, plenty storage space and a safe. Absolutely loved sitting on the balcony having breakfast or wine in the evening and just listening to the sound of the sea...idyllic. Private pool and gardens well maintained with access to the beach. Neil and Tanya are the perfect hosts full of local information on the area, bus and train times and recommendations on where to eat, they also provided airport pick up and a welcome pack which was much appreciated. Several nice and inexpensive restaurants close by, Lucena II, El Pescaito and OISHII Japanese Teppanyaki, all worth a visit. There is also a sports bar and small cafe bar nearby. Nice walks in both directions to Benalmadena & Torrequebrada. We would recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives. Many thanks Neil and Tanya.
