A well equipped luxury 2 bedroom ground floor apartment close to all amenities on the resort. The double aspect patio and large corner garden plot of this apartment is one of the best on the resort, with all day sun from it's east and south facing position. Views over the Boavista golf course can be enjoyed from both patios (1st and 2nd holes). Guests have access to the large shared outdoor swimming pool & children's paddling pool. In addition, guests at this property also benefit from full membership to the Boavista Fitness & Spa, which has a luxurious full size indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The gym is fully equipped with with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Discounted rates for Golf are provided for Guests. The property also has unlimited WiFi internet access.

About Norman Roberts-York

Owners are a husband and wife who live in South East England. Owned the property for 6 years before started renting it out in 2014. Visited Algarve (Praia da Luz) for the first time in August 2007 and fell in love with the area. Purchased the property that same year and have been back several times a year since then. This is going to be our winter home when we eventually retire.

Why Norman Roberts-York chose Lagos region

We have enjoyed many fabulous holiday with our sons over the years. We wanted a holiday home that one day we could use to escape the long UK winters. We love our apartment and have never tired of visiting it. There is so much to do from mountain biking, surfing, water sports, water parks, tennis, football, golf, fishing and loads more. We always take a car to explore different beaches and coves as well as visit local shops and excellent restaurants. The staff at the clubhouse always make us feel really welcome, we have spent many an enjoyable evening there.

What makes this apartment unique

This is our home from home that we are making available for rental. As we have teenage sons, the apartment has a PlayStation 3 and internet access. We're a very active family and enjoy walking and jogging. Our property rental price also includes access to the Essential Fitness & Spa for 4 guests. The Essential Fitness & Spa is inside the Boavista Club House. It has an indoor heated pool, kiddies pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room and state of art fully equipped gym. This normally cost between €8 and €15 per day extra per guest.

We are having a wonderful time here thank you. The area is beautiful and the apartment is just perfect. The service is excellent. We have had a day round the apartment today because we have been out every day to the various stunning beaches in the area. We are going to the water park tomorrow and the grottos Friday or Saturday. Notes on accommodation: The lounge and bedrooms have flat-screen TV’s, all with 25 satellite channels, including Sky Sports & Sky Movies, BBC, ITV channels etc. All 3 TV’s can select the channels individually. The apartment has WiFi internet, Play Station 3 and surround sound home cinema system. All windows and patio doors have electrically operated shutters with mosquito nets. The apartment has air-conditioning/heating in each room, separately controlled by individual remote controls. There is a hair dryer provided in the bedroom for guest's use. A number of GB to Euro power plug adaptors are supplied. This is a non-smoking apartment and pets are not allowed. Outside: The garden & patio area is a large corner plot. It is east and south facing, offering an extensive lawned area to the beautifully manicured gardens. From the patio and gardens, there are views of the 1st and 2nd holes of the golf course and the Monchique Mountains. The accommodation is equipped with a gas barbecue, patio table and 4 patio chairs, 2 sun loungers and a parasol. The shared outdoor heated swimming pool, with its separate shallow children’s play pool, is close by, accessed by a card entry system, which each guest will be provided with. The pool area is well equipped with sun loungers and parasols, and has showers, toilets, changing facilities. Utility Room: An iron, ironing board and clothes airer are provided in the accommodation, along with an integrated washing machine/dryer in the kitchen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and bathroom towels are provided throughout (excluding beach/pool towels). There is a daily maid service, mid-week towel change and weekly sheet change.

A home from home in a beautiful setting.

We stayed in this apartment with our two teenage sons in early July. It was perfect for all of us. So peaceful with beautiful views. The apartment was really well equipped and spotlessly clean. The daily maid service was an added bonus. My husband and my sons used the gym most days and the pool area was never too busy. Boavista is a great base for exploring Lagos and the beautiful beaches in the surrounding area. We also travelled to the west coast a couple of times to spend the day surfing, well worth the 40 minute drive. Norman, the owner, was prompt to answer any of our questions although we did not need to contact him during our stay as everything was perfect. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and family. We loved it so much we have booked again for next year!

Wonderful relaxing holiday in a beautiful apartment

We spent 2 weeks in this apartment which is in a great location on the resort. It is a 5-10 min walk to the Clubhouse and Health Club and a 10 min drive into the centre of Lagos. For those with no car, it was approx €10 in a taxi. Food and drink is very reasonable when eating out although we did notice a difference when the exchange rate plummeted! Clubhouse serves nice food, quite pricey but you do get a discount with the healthclub cards. Very friendly staff.

The apartment has everything that you need and is fully equipped. Cleaners come in every day and freshen up, it was nice and quiet and spotless. We have a one year old and spent a number of evenings staying in. The use of the BBQ was fantastic, the view over the golf course was beautiful and having a garden was brilliant. 1st floor apartments with balconies did not look secure enough if you have a young child - ours would certainly have climbed through the bars. The garden is open plan and being a corner plot means you have a lot more space - word of warning, it is not fenced off down the side, we were running after our toddler a lot as it is open access to the front and road.

There is use of a swimming pool and baby pool just outside the apartment so very handy. There are a lot of sunbeds but we were told it gets very busy in July and August. Area was secure and clean. Only downside which sounds silly is that the pool didn't seem to have a proper shallow end. I couldn't touch the bottom and so couldn't take my child swimming without my husband. Be careful with younger children.

The owner was great and answered any queries we had quickly. Unfortunately when we arrived there was no hot water and as a weekend it was 2 days before this was fixed. Couldn't be helped but not a great start to the holiday - on the plus side they were very efficient putting in a new heater as soon as they could.

For us, the downside was that there was little for children to do - it appears there are more activities from July onwards for children age 4+. Ideally we needed a kids club or similar for our child to play as she was quite restricted.

It is a 10 min drive to Luz which has a great family beach, busy but not overcrowded and plenty of parking and places to eat etc.

Reastaurants in Lagos are plentiful but either book in advance or be prepared to queue. Some allow you to reserve but only inside and not outside.

We would definitely go again to this apartment

Perfect accommodation!

We have been visiting the Algarve for over 10 years, always staying on a golf resort. This apartment has been the most perfect residence for us. It was amazingly equipped especially for our two boys with the Play station and a selection of DVDs. The owners were rapid to respond to both enquiries and questions. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment, as close to home as you can get on holiday.

We have just returned from a fabulous relaxing holiday in Portugal using this well maintained property as our base. This apartment has 2 terraces and a well maintained garden surrounding it, great for breakfasting outside and relaxing in the sun.

Any communication with the owner was quick, even down to the fact that we couldn't work the TV when we got there, however a text to him had this sorted within 5 minutes!

Maid service every day was a lovely bonus and the onsite management team were extremely helpful when we had problems accessing the communal pool.

Overall a fab base for your holiday in Portugal!
