excellent property and location for darmouth area
( Nice to get out of the cars we all rely on so much these days! )
You obviously enjoyed the Round Robin trip of the boat and train up the river Dart and it reminded me to do it again when we next visit.
You clearly love this area so we hope you'll comeback for another visit.

Guestbook comments from the manager
This delightful two bedroom apartment met every one of our expectations. The location is ideal for both a beach holiday (a very short walk to the nearest beach, Blackpool Sands) or, for the more active, a walking holiday. With a convenience shop across the road, an excellent pub, the Green Dragon and a reasonably priced restaurant within a hundred yards every need is catered for. Very cosy and comfortable accommodation with an excellent kitchen with all expected appliances. Very comfortable bed too. Overall an outstanding apartment worth a 10/10 rating.
We have had a fantastic week - what a lovely apartment you have!
Left Driftwood this morning after excellent week. Best wishes and thank you for the use of your pretty flat !

excellent property and location for darmouth area
property is hidden away in small village and you immediatley get the feeling this somewhere different from the run of the mill. The flat was exceptionally clean and in first class order and decoration,it felt like a home and well laid out and equipped.nearby pub has good beers and wine selection and we had a few good meals there, without the worry of driving .locals are quite tame to" outsiders". there is such a lot to do in this area that even if the weather is not too good you should not get stuck.Round Robin on dart is always a good full day .We have been to this area for many years and still enjoy its varied offerings from moors to sea.Blackpool sands is just down road and excellent beach and facilities. I would have no hesitation in rcommending this property . .
Clean, tidy and very comfortable apartment.
Good location for seeing the area. Delightful village setting. Found parking difficult and disappointed with approach to the property.
Well equiped, clean and comfortable
Driftwood is tucked away in a peaceful location in the village of Stoke Fleming and is a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Blackpool Sands and Venus Beach Cafe and many lovely local walks. The apartment also has a small private garden. Booking was easy and fast, information about the apartment comprehensive. The seaside town of Dartmouth is a short drive away and is fun to explore, lots to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay in Driftwood. Good local pub and restaurant (Radius 7) within a 2 minute walk. Stoke Fleming is the perfect location to explore South Devon.
Driftwood - a really nice stay to remember
Driftwood is a nice appartment with beautiful light-filled rooms and inviting ambience in carefully chosen soft colours. We really liked this place and spent 14 perfect days there.
Good standard,clean and tidy apartment.
Comfortable beds with all facilities in good working order and well equipped kitchen. (Although could do with a spatula to use with non-stick frying pan) usable compact garden is an added feature with sun and shade in equal amounts. Parking was difficult, but we were there in peak season. Would be useful to have more information on recycling for paper and plastics, as only facility for glass and tins. Second bedroom not really large enough to accommodate two adults, but our group consisting of three adults and our four year old grandson found it a lovely holiday home for the week. Area is lovely with lots of hidden treasures.........and probably more we didn't even find. Lovely meal at Radius 7. Village facilities within walking distance for most of our needs.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is lovely and bright in a good central location to everything we wanted to do, and we made the most of travelling around! The facilities were good, the washing machine was useful after a day at the beach (beautiful Blackpool Sands)! The cottage is well furnished to a high standard with parking just a few minutes walk away. Good local pub and really nice restaurant Radius 7, also ate at the beach cafe Venus and Stoke Lodge hotel which we'd highly recommend.
From the Owner
“We have been visiting this beautiful area of Devon since we first met and have enjoyed so many great holidays with our son, family and friends. Over the years we have spent days on the local beaches, ridden on the steam train, enjoyed ferry trips and walks. We have also eaten our share of pasties, teas and restaurant meals! So finally we have bought Driftwood, our cosy apartment and are thrilled with it. There is so much to see and do in this area and if you are a water baby you will enjoy the fabulous sea and beaches. Walkers will love walking the coastal path and the rural walkways with great views. And on days when the weather isn't so good, you can visit Stately Homes, catch the bus to the local towns such as Totnes, go to the cinema in Dartmouth, Kingsbridge or Plymouth.”

From the Owner
“Driftwood is ideally situated, tucked away from the coastal road, but a minute from the bus stop or local shop. We are pleased to have a secluded garden where we can sit and read or eat a meal but if we want to go out there is the local pub which serves food or the local restaurant which has proved very popular with our guests. The restaurant on the beach, 10 minutes away, is a great place to eat and enjoy sea views or you can catch the bus to Dartmouth or go west along the coastal road where there are many beaches and villages to visit.”
