Due to our rural location, a car is essential. We are only 4 miles from the main A1 road but there is no bus service and limited taxis. We are an hour and a quarter from both Edinburgh and Newcastle airports but are only ten minutes from Berwick upon Tweed with its mainline east coast railway station.
The village of Paxton is one mile away and has a good village pub. The ancient walled town of Berwick upon Tweed is four miles away and has supermarkets, banks, restaurants and the usual local shops.
