Apartment in Keswick, Lake District, Cumbria, England - 15 Mins Walk To Centre Of Keswick, Located On Cycle/Foot Path

Step out of the door in The Lake District and walk on the fells in all directions from Keswick without the need to use your car. Easy access to launches on Derwentwater and buses into Borrowdale and surrounding valleys. Cycle along the old railway and beyond. Fifteen minute walk to Keswick town centre. Five minute walk to well-stocked mini supermarket. This is a warm, comfortable two bedroom apartment in the top half of a former railway house, situated on the outskirts of Keswick. The house is built in traditional local stone with the top half rendered and painted white. The apartment has a spacious lounge, plus a good sized double bedroom and bathroom. A small bedroom has two bunk beds. The dining kitchen seats up to four, and is equipped to a very high standard. There is parking for two cars. The apartment has panoramic views of the Grassmoor Group of hills, from the lounge and both bedrooms. This is an ideal location for walking, and exploring the Lake District.

About Catherine Edgar

4 Ridgemount is owned by Catherine and John Edgar who lived in Cumbria for over 30 years, although we have now moved to Worcestershire. We are ardent walkers and love the theatre.

Why Catherine Edgar chose Keswick & North Lakes

Keswick is an ideal base for our family holidays as it allows us such easy walking access to the the lakes and is also an outlet for the cultural aspects of Keswick such as the famous theatre, book and jazz festivals etc. There are plenty of activities for families with young or older children in the town and in the area. Keswick also has a good choice of pubs and restaurants

The apartment is very cosy with stunning views, this is why we fell for it.

What makes this apartment unique

The benefit above other properties is that it is near but not in the town centre and is therefore quiet with good views yet close to amenities. We have off road private parking at the back of the property. We are on a bus route and also right next to the old railway track which is now a cycling and walking route.

We do not increase our prices over the summer or at holiday times.

Excellent property

This is a lovely, warm and cosy cottage, with beautiful views to the mountains. The place is extremely well-equipped, and the communication from the owners was excellent. The only downside was the traffic noise, but it was only noticeable when the road was wet, so not a major problem.

Great trip away

Lovely couple of days away. Place was clean and welcoming, with a lovely card on our arrival. Well situated and the walk into Keswick was lovely too. We were there during a storm but felt safe and snug while we kept ourselves entertained. Everything there that you would need although took a while to get all the bedding on. Thank you for a great break away. We would definitely recommend stopping here.

Brilliant place for our little family :-D

We had the best time in Keswick. Our stay was amazing. Flat was very good furnished, felt cosy and warm. Stunning mountain vews from leaving room. It's in a very quiet part of Keswick only 15 minutes walk to town centre along old railway tracks path. Swimming pool, park and playing ground 10 minutes walk, what for our active two year old daughter was perfect. Thank you very much Catherine and John. We'll be back ;-)

Conveniently located and very spacious

Perfect flat for a family- nice and spacious. A great walk into town via the old railway path. So much nicer than on the roads. It would be so much easier if there was WiFi because our phone internet reception didn't work either (vodaphone) so we couldn't check maps/plan walks etc without going into town.

£40 deposit payable at time of booking. Balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to start of stay.

We charge £390 inclusive for a week's stay irrespective of season school holidays etc.
Short stays cost £50 per night plus £40 per stay for cleaning.e.g. 5 nights would be £290

Changeover Day:
Saturday changeover is preferable but we will try to be flexible as far as possible.
Please arrive after 2 p. m. and vacate by10 a. m. to allow for cleaning and changeover time.

Notes on prices:
Property is available for weekly or short stay (min 2 nights) rental. Short stays incur an additional £40 cleaning charge per stay

Please bring your own linen and towels.. We provide duvets and pillows.

There are 2 designated parking spaces for no 4 behind the property.
