A well maintained and cherished villa with sea views in a sought after location, near to beaches and a popular commercial center. The villa offers home from home accommodation. Comfortable Lounge with 2 sofas, air-conditioning/heating unit installed. TV and DVD player (English channels on freesat). Free Wifi, Ceiling fans in all rooms. Newly fitted American kitchen includes dishwasher and separate utility room containing washing machine. 3 bedrooms - 1 with king size bed and 2 twin. 2 bathrooms . Sun Lounge/dining room seating 6 people. Driveway and Patio with table and chairs. Large Solarium with quality sunbeds, table and chairs and sun canopy. Sea views. Only 20 metres from fabulous shared swimming pool and gardens.

All linen provided with the exception of beach towels.

Location and Further afield: Playa Flamenca situated on the coast has its own beaches, bars, promenade etc. It is just 3km south of the much liked coastal resort of Torrevieja with its lovely promenade, Aqua Park, cinemas, bowling, and endless shopping etc. The largest European street market is held here on Fridays.

Playa Flamenca also has it own market on Saturday and is a must. Also within walking distance, the newly opened La Zenia Boulevard outdoor mall with quality shops and restaurants but there's also the popular Primark! The salt lakes (one blue one pink) at Torrevieja are also wildlife sanctuaries famous for bird life including an abundance of flamingos. You can walk or cycle on purpose made paths to view the wild life.

Further afield:

Attractions within approximately an hour’s drive include Terra Mitica Theme Park, the Benidorm Palace for dinner, shows & dancing and Mundomar Marine & Exotic Animal Park. Also nearby is the Rio Safari Park and the Curates’ Garden at Elche, a garden 13,000 sq metres in size, specialising in Mediterranean and tropical plants, especially different varieties of palm tree. The caves at Busot boast one of the highest vaults in all of Spain, described as being similar to a cathedral.

Climate: On the sub-tropical western coast of the Mediterranean the Orihuela Costa is a well-kept secret, far less arid than the Costa del Sol to the south and warmer than the Costa Brava to the north. The absence of the strong sirocco wind or the very high temperatures in summer results in a gentle climate with rich, fertile soil and an abundance of orange and almond blossom.

The outstanding features of the climate are the hot and dry summers with mild winters bringing variable amounts of rain. A short spring and lengthy autumn are transition seasons. The predominant rainfall occurs during the cooler part of the year.

The entire area around Torrevieja and Orihuela is famous for its salt production. The temperature and salt concentration in the air gives the surrounding area an especially healthy climate that has been recommended by the World Health Organisation. Today there is an increase in the number of people who use the salt lakes regularly as a health bath.

Great holiday!!

We have had a fantastic holiday from start to finish. From the booking process to arrival it was easy and Ann always responded within 24 hrs.

This was our 5th visit to playa flamenca so we know the area well and this was our best holiday we have had here. On arrival we were met by Jackie who was lovely and showed us round the property which is spotless and has new bathrooms and kitchen. Every item you would need is available from kitchen utensils to dvd player. The TV is really good and has all the English channels and the wifi is great to. Though it did dip out for half a day. The roof terrace is fantastic though during the day it got too hot but was lovely and cool at night. The air con in living room is run on a meter using 2euro coins and lasts about 24 hrs. The bedrooms did get very hot but opening the windows cooled it down once the air blows through. The pool was about 20 yards away and accessed via a key and was secure. The pool was fantastic, very clean and large and there was never more than 25 people there. A lot of the time we had it to ourselves. The location is great for the commercial centre with all the bars and restaurants and only 5 minute stroll. La zenia boulevard is 15 min walk and beaches 10. Highly recommend "spud murphys" for food especially the fish and chips which is more like a whale! Also papaya tree is fantastic if you like Thai food. All in all a great holiday and we will be returning. Thank you

The process of booking and communicating with the owner Anne for the villa was perfect. A very good pack of information was provided for the villa to settle you in. The villa itself, was in great condition, was large enough to accommodate 6 adults, facilities were excellent and location great. We all had a very comfortable stay and would definitively recommend booking this villa to all.

Fabulous villa, perfect location,definitely return

The villa is in a perfect location, short walks to the local beaches, shops and restaurants.

We were a family of 5 and the accommodation was more than adequate, nice and spacious for all of us. 2 bathrooms helped!

We also travelled up to Benidorm and stayed for 4 days where we visited Aqualandia and other attractions. Well worth a visit.

The communications and information received about the viable and local area prior to our departure was very helpful.

The pool is lovely, clean and spacious. We were there on a bank holiday weekend and had just 12 people to share the very large pool with so plenty of space for everyone.

We would definitely recommend the villa and we have already booked for 2016!

Lovely Clean Villa & Pool

We visit Playa Flamenca every year so we know our way around, we knew booking the villa that it was in a perfect location, 2 min walk from the commercial centre restaurants and bars, short walk to supermarkets Lidl, Supercor, Carrefor and walking distance to Zenia Boulevard shopping centre, having said all that the villa is also on a quiet street where you can sit out in the evening and not hear a sound.

The house itself was spotless (thanks to Jackie) on arrival, very well equipped and true to Ann's photos and description. The pool area was perfect, clean and plenty of room for all to sunbathe comfortably. We have been to houses in the past that are cluttered with personal items, far from clean, with old, dirty bed linen and with cold pools none of which can be said about Casa Davan. This villa suits all age groups, myself, my parents and my children aged 8 and 7 all throughly enjoyed our stay, we would return here without hesitation ! Thank You Ann and Jackie !!

Fabulous villa

We are 2 ladies in our 50's (although very young at heart), who go away together each year without our families to recharge our batteries. This was the perfect place to stay and very relaxing. We felt very safe, as the villa was situated in an ex pat area where everyone is friendly. The villa was perfect, having everything you need, and very well maintained, although unfortunately the new wi fi didn't work while we were there. The pool was very near and even in the middle of June, had very few people around it. Local shops and supermarkets are near by, and a great little commercial area where there are loads of different types of restaurants offering really delicious food for very reasonable prices and a few bars with music acts. We were a bit confused about making our way on foot to the beach as there is a major road in front of it, although you can eventually find the underpasses. To be honest the villa's upstairs patio and the pool area were enough for us so we only went to the beach once. There is a huge commercial area a short taxi ride away - La Zenia Boulevard which is very well worth going to.

Ann the owner and Jackie the property manager were both very helpful to us. It was a pleasure staying at the villa and would have loved to have spent a longer holiday there. My husband is lucky enough to be going out there with his mate in September.

Lovely property..great location

Arrived for a long weekend on Friday, was met by Jackie who showed us around the villa and was very pleasant and helpful.

We absolutely loved the villa and pool and this is in great location for all local shops bars etc.

Would recommend a stay here, thanks to Ann for making our stay a pleasure

The villa is in a prime location in the desirable area of Playa Flamenca Beach. Situated in a peaceful location yet only a short 4 min. walk to a lively centre with an excellent choice of restaurants,bars, supermarkets, banks, etc. A 10min stroll brings you to one of the many sandy beaches all within easy walking. A wonderful promenade/coastal path takes you north to Torrevieja and south to Cabo Roig and beyond. There are 5 golf courses within a short drive. it's a short bus ride to Torrevieja where you can experience all the activities of a vibrant Spanish coastal port. The salt lakes at Torrevieja offer the opportunity to view wildlife sanctuaries on a well defined cycle path. If you wish to sightsee there are many towns to visit on the coast and inland. At Lo Pogan you can participate in the world famous mud healing baths, or just enjoy the fabulous beaches.The cooler mountain region near Murcia gives you the opportunity to enjoy the villages and National parks on the mountain side

Other Activities: A local company offers bike rental with free delivery and collection. Also available locally are Go Karts with sections divided by age from 'baby kart' to adults. There is also a bouncy castle and other outdoor entertainment for the children with it's own bar and restaurant.

A mini golf course is now open on the roof of the Sunrise restaurant in the La Campa part of our commercial centre. Great for adults and children alike with it's own bars and sun decks overlooking the Mediteranean sea.

Shopping: If shopping is your passion then you will be in heaven when you visit the newly opened 'Zenia Boulevard' which is within walking distance of the villa. Huge amount of shop ranging from Next, Zara to Primark and Decathlon. La Campara Hypermarket is also on site which stocks almost anything you could want. Don't worry about baggage weight buy when you get here.

A casino is also on this site if you want to try your luck.

Of course there is also our famous Saturday market not to be missed also in walking distance.

Golf: The area is a golfers dream with 5 courses within very easy commuting. The Golf shop at Cabo Roig offers discount bookings and hire of clubs. Make sure you take proof of handicap to have access to discount on over 20 courses. If you have forgotten your proof of handicap some of the newer courses will allow you to play. Ask at the shop. if you require further information please request when contacting the owners.
