Our Garden Flat is situated close to the centre of historic Colinton and provides cosy and attractive holiday accommodation in one of Edinburgh's oldest villages. Good travel connections are nearby with the A720 Edinburgh City bypass just 5 minutes away by car and Edinburgh Airport only 15 minutes by taxi. The bus service is excellent and Edinburgh City Centre is about 30 minutes. There is also a very pleasant 5 mile cycle route to Edinburgh's Old Town along the Water of Leith and the Union Canal. Hill walkers can stretch their legs and explore the Pentland Hills where there are over 100km of signposted routes.

Location

Coast/Beach:

There are excellent beaches at Gullane and North Berwick (35 and 45 minutes by car respectively) and across the Forth at Aberlady (30 minutes)?

Travel:

Edinburgh Airport is 15 minutes away by car or taxi. There is free on-street parking and the bus service from Colinton Village to Edinburgh City Centre is excellent. Journey time from 20 minutes up to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Distances:

Colinton Village is 200 metres away and Edinburgh City Centre is about 5 miles away.

Further Details:

Edinburgh is a wonderful city to visit, with museums, art galleries, Our Dynamic Earth, the Castle and Holyrood Palace all in a relatively compact area. Colinton, while now part of Edinburgh retains a village feel and has two restaurants, two pubs, bank, post office, grocer, pharmacy, doctor and dentist. Supermarkets (Tesco and Morrisons) are 5 minutes drive Asda is 10 minutes.
