About the Owner

The Owner has enjoyed St Teath for 15 years. Her children and their friends have enjoyed growing up there in school holidays. Clock house has recently had a new kitchen which has completed the house. It is a second home and much loved. The apartment in Rayol Canadel has given us endless pleasure and the ability to fly out of miserable English weather to the special weather of the Cote D'Azur

Dirty and smelly

  • 1 of 5

Arrived at property and had difficulty getting the key from the key box, put number in but it was so stiff wondered if we can of ever get the key. The cottage wasn't very clean and by the second day we noticed a very awful smell which got worse as the week went on, it appears to be coming from behind the fridge in the kitchen but never found out what it was. The log burner had a glass panel missing from the door and heaters in the property seemed to have a mind of there own and came on when they decided they would. The little courtyard was overgrown and 1 of the 2 garden chairs out there was broken. The cottage could be made very cosy with a bit of work. The picture showed a sofa in the lounge area but this has now gone and 2!very uncomfortable armchairs put in its place. We did still enjoy our week away as we were out everyday but it would of been better if the cottage was a bit more welcoming. 🙁

What a find!

This place is a great base to explore Cornwall!

The Cottage itself has everything you need, very clean and near all the things you could want (pub and nearby grocery shop). It was perfect for us (couple with a little dog) as we cooked our own breakfast, packed up a picnic for the day - came back from exploring, made use of the facilities and then were generally out again. Every time we came back it was like going home, a really welcoming and cosy accommodation with a little yard where we often had a coffee and a little read before going out for the day.

We would definitely recommend it and more than likely stay again, it made my first trip to Cornwall that little bit more special!
