Palma airport is 20 minutes drive/taxi the main port of Palma 15 mins.
Car hire is not essential for this location but street parking is available first come basis.
Palma is a very beautiful city which must be explored the cathedral is spectacular take a horse drawn carriage to see the sights or an open bus tour or visit the art museums. There are many tapas bars which must be tried in the old part so wander up the tiny streets to find them. Take a train ride to Soller which is famous for its oranges or simply visit the local markets and sample the locally grown produce. Go the other way to the natural port of Andratx its well worth a visit also. But if you don't feel like going very far just enjoy the nearby restaurants in the village and port of Portals where you can find everything you may need.
