About Louise Cope

I have moved from South Africa to the lovely county of Dorset with it's beautiful coastline and wonderful walks. I enjoy kayaking, cycling, playing tennis and walking with my dog,I prefer a friendly village life to suburban lifestyle. However, with Wool station nearby and a 2hr30min train journey to Waterloo I can still keep in touch with city life when needed.

Louise Cope purchased this cottage in 2013

Beautiful cottage set in a picturesque village

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautifully presented and very well equipped. The owner makes you very welcome with fresh produce in the kitchen on arrival. The garden is lovely with lots of character and the off street parking was a real bonus. It was a real privilege to stay in such a warm welcoming cottage.

Wonderful cosy cottage, in a very pretty village

  • 5 of 5

Patch Cottage was the perfect location for a winter weekend getaway, it had everything you could need, very well equipped, so picturesque and perfect for us. It would be lovely to return in the summer to make use of the fantastic garden. Lovely walks on the doorstep, the village store is lovely, perfect for picking up fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. Thank you so much Lou, and also for the delicious local honey and eggs you left for us, and the very pretty vase of flowers. We felt very welcomed and looked after. Lesley & Andy, London

Lovely little cottage

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage is delightful, very cosy and in a wonderful location. It’s well kitted out with everything you need for an enjoyable stay - we even had fresh eggs, biscuits and honey (which we forgot to take home with us!) waiting in the kitchen for our arrival. Louise, the owner, popped in for a chat which was really nice. The village is lovely with a great village shop and two pubs within walking distance. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are just down the road and Dorchester is around a 10 mile drive away with all the usual high street shops. All in all, a great place to stay in a great location. Thank you!

A cosy getaway

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of space since there were only two of us ( and Lottie, our smallish dog).

The stairs are really steep so be aware.

Great last evening at the Red Lion, very friendly.

Would be perfect for me if there were a tea cosy!
