About the Owner

I bought this lovely cottage in 2006, based on a decision to buy a holiday cottage once the children had left home after many happy years of camping and caravanning holidays at Mother Ivey's Bay (only 12 miles away). I view it really a second home, used by family and friends; so many guests are regular 'returners', that I view many of them as friends and enjoy talking to them and meeting them as often as possible (without intruding on their holiday, of course). I am very practical and do most of the upkeep and maintenance myself, so take a great deal of pride in what I do and the appearance and feel of the cottage. I hope that everyone who stays fees relaxed and at home and will want to come back to this beautiful part of Cornwall time and time again

Great little cottage

  • 4 of 5

Great location on the outskirts of Wadebridge a lovely market town with a good fishmonger and 2 excellent butchers.

Nice to be able to walk along the Camel into town and also to walk along the Camel trail on the otherside. Near the Daymer Bay / Rock beach, which is fantastic especially if you have a dog as it is pet friendly all year round. You can catch the ferry accross from Rock to Padstow which is a pleasant experience are far better than the drive and jostle for parking. The only downside was the garden was not secure so dogs/children would need to be watched
