Hi. We are Angie and John and we are definitely Brightonians, having lived here on and off for 25 years. We love the diversity:- everything from quiet country pubs to walks on The South Downs, beach life to nightlife, elegant historic architecture to modern city vibrance. And as for the shopping!!!

We bought Clock Tower House in 2009 and lovingly restored it to full splendour with all mod cons. Last year we gave it another complete makeover and refurnished it.

Because we live only minutes away we are on hand for whatever you need, whenever you need it and can respond quickly. We go to every effort to make sure your stay is perfect and we have plenty of local knowledge to ensure you get the best of your stay with us.

"We absolutely loved it. It is very centrally located and is in walking distance for the beach, bars, restaurants, shops and the pier. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well furnished and really beautifully decorated. . I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting an easy, luxury (but not too expensive) stay in Brighton."

"We had an absolutely brilliant time in this house. It's right bang in the middle of Brighton so we could walk everywhere. The facilities were excellent and we had everything we needed for a really memorable holiday. It was brilliant all having our own bathroom as there were no queues to get ready and it meant we all had our own space and privacy.



The house is beautifully furnished and decorated so we felt like we were having a luxury break and the hosts were so welcoming and helpful the whole time went really smoothly."

Fantastic getaway

Stayed at the Clock Tower House for my sisters hen weekend. It was perfect. The house was a perfect size for all of us. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious all with own bathrooms and the kitchen and living room was the perfect size for all 12 of us. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back again. Definitely worth the price you pay and in excellent location.

The house was very clean and very well equipped .

This was an ideal place for 10 ladies to spend a 50th birthday celebration . It was was right in the middle of Brighton. The house was decorated to a high standard and kept well .

Location

From the Owner

Even though this is in a central location it is tucked away in a side road so you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It takes only five minutes to walk anywhere, including the station, the beach and the city centre. It is a well built house with lots of light and great views from the top. It is situated close to two parks so you can sit out on a sunny day or enjoy a picnic close by.

Nearest Airport : Gatwick at 50 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Newhaven at 30 Kilometres Nearest Train : Brighton at 0.4 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : M23 at 20 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Brighton at 0.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Everything a seaside resort can offer, from diving to fishing, windsurfing, kite surfing, wake boarding and water skiing. Plenty of local riding stables and The South Downs to explore.

Coast/Beach:

Only five minutes walk from Clock Tower House is the famous Brighton Beach, with the even more famous Brighton Pier. You can walk or cycle for miles along the beach or the promenade. In one direction is Brighton Marina with it's unique shops, restaurants and bars. The other direction heads to Hove, with the Hove Lawns, water sports park and cafes.

Travel:

Gatwick airport is the closest, about 20 minutes by train or 25 minutes by car. There is a direct rail link to many London stations including London Victoria, London Bridge, taking as little as 50 minutes.

The A23 from Brighton can get you onto the M25 within an hour and the A27 can link you to Chichester, Portsmouth and Southampton easily.

There is an excellent, 24 hour frequent city bus service with a hop on/hop off facility so you can explore as much as you like.

All the major attractions such as The Laines, The Dome, The Pavillion, The Wheel, The Sea Life Centre, The Pier, Churchill Square Shopping Centre, The North Laine, The Theatre Royal, cinemas, casinos, shops, pubs and clubs are all just minutes walk away.

Booking Notes:
We accept three night weekend and full week bookings. We will send you a booking form via the internet with all our details by return. We require a £300 holding deposit upon booking and request final payment along with a £300 returnable deposit 6 weeks before your stay. In winter we accept two night bookings. We accept last minute bookings all year round. If you'd like a price for bookings longer than a week we offer a discount, please get in touch for pricing.

Changeover Day:
Check in is from 3pm. Check out 10am. Check in and check out are flexible if the house if free before or after. Please enquire a few days before your stay. Totally flexible for short breaks. Week breaks are Friday to Friday.

Notes on prices:
We accept 2 night bookings in Winter ONLY. We also accept last minute bookings all year round.
Weekday bookings (Monday to Thursday) are 30% cheaper.

Because Clock Tower House was completely renovated recently it is very smart, yet homely. The location is the winner every time! Step out of the front door and within minutes you can be in a quiet park, the city centre mall, the quirky backstreet shopping Lanes, the major visitors' attractions or the beach. There is plenty of parking nearby, either using NCP car parks, pay and display or booking a space on parkatmyhouse.com - where you can book a parking space for a daily fee. The four bedrooms are all very large and have their own bathroom. Each room is decorated in its own unique style so is anything but bland, yet is really inviting and comfortable. This house can comfortably sleep 12 but can accommodate as many as 15.

  • Notes on accommodation: This spacious five storey house has been fully internally soundproofed so you always can retreat to your own room for peace and quiet. Each floor has a large bedroom and en-suite, with the socializing area on the first floor. There is plenty of parking nearby using either multi-storey car parks, pay and display or by renting a space. Contact us for more parking information. There is also a locked and covered bike storage area. Outside: There are two balconies, one accessed from the kitchen and one from the second floor bedroom. There is a small park over the road, which has an international food festival on Fridays. On the other side there are some large gardens and a park where they have open air Shakespeare in the summer. Utility Room: Washing machine and separate tumble dryer. Iron and ironing board, clothes drying rack and hoover. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The bed linen is all 100% Egyptian cotton with super king size duvets. Soft, fluffy bath towels and hand towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Other: A stunning Victorian house, built by a Sea Captain in the 1800's has all the charm of a period property, with the benefits of all mod cons.
