An amazing property in a stunning location
From the minute you walk through the impressive front door, you know you have arrived somewhere special. Cas Batlet is a beautiful, stylish and very well appointed house in a fabulous location. It is light and spacious both inside and out, with lots of areas to chill. A superb venue for a large group of friends or family. We had a wonderful holiday and would not hesitate in recommending this truly, amazing house. We will definitely return.
It lived up to its luxurious title, but was still comfortable for all the family.
We loved it so much we have booked again for this year. It was perfect for a mixed age group party as there were so many places to sit and escape to. The pool was loved by everyone, and the area, of course, was great for those wanting adventure/walking/cafe society. The house was beautiful, but we all felt really at home there. We can't wait for August 2017 when we shall be back!
A fantastic time in a wonderful mansion
We have stayed in Mallorca many times but have always chosen fincas away from the town so we knew this was going to be a new experience for us. Although the pictures suggested a perfect town house you really can never tell until you get there. I am glad to report that the pictures really did no justice at all to the property. Firstly, it is so much bigger than you would think. A mansion in the town would be a fair description. The pictures also do not show the quality and detail of thought that has gone into the reformation of this lovely old building.
The level of furnishing throughout was very high giving a wonderfully comfortable stay. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped - I cooked a fair bit and never struggled to find what I needed. There was ample space outside to eat or entertain and the pool area was fantastic. The sun hit the pool at around 10:30 and stayed for the day. The only minor issue was parking but this was probably more to do with the people carrier I hired. We had been worried about possible noise but it really was quiet. It is a town, so not silent, but we were never concerned.
Overall, it was fantastic. If you can, stay. You will not regret it.
Don't look anywhere else....
We are a group of 11 girls who stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate a friends 40th birthday. As soon as we saw the place advertised, we knew we didn't want to go anywhere else. It was slightly over our budget but we knew that we wouldn't be disappointed and boy were we right. Right from the onset, the owners were very accommodating and formed a really good relationship with us. They helped with anything we asked, including recommending local restaurants, boat trips and even a personal chef!
Tisha, the lovely lady who manages the property was again extremely helpful and even went out and bought us some beers at our request so that they would be chilled ready for our arrival. The owners even left a card and some bubbly for the birthday girl which she was overwhelmed by as it's these small touches that makes something special.
On arrival we were blown away, the pictures are fab but it's hard to appreciate the hard work that has gone into restoring this beautiful property. It is HUGE! The grand entrance hall with the sweeping staircase is was like stepping into something better than a 5 star hotel, and even better was that it was all ours for the whole weekend. We had a ball. The house is so fab that you just don't want to go out. The pool and garden area was a perfect size for us to chill out under the fab backdrop of the mountains.
It was a first to Soller for all of us and we weren't disappointed. What a beautiful quaint village with lovely cafe's, restaurants and shops. The tram running through the centre is something else, you really feel relaxed here.
Its only a short journey down to the port where there is an abundance of lovely restaurants and bars and there are many companies here that can take you out on a boat trip (which we did).
The house itself, well there is no expense spared. From the furniture to the kitchen appliances, everything is top notch and has been thought out to perfection. Tisha even came in one day whilst we were out and put up our decorations for the surprise party we'd organised for the birthday girl. We had a personal chef for the evening which was cheaper than eating out and the food was great.
Overall, we had a whale of a time, it's a proper party house. If you're looking for something that bit special I wouldn't look any further as you've found the right house here. Even though as a group we like to visit new places, we wouldn't hesitate returning to Cas Batlet in the future.
A most do - its a fabulous house, cant recommend enough. Dont hesitate
I booked Cas Batlet for a long weekend with friends. I’ve stayed before but most of the friends hadn’t. The lovely thing is the surprise that everyone gets when they arrive. All had seen the photos and loved it but until you’re stood in front of that huge wooden front door and then walk in to the house, you just don’t understand the scale of the place – it’s enormous and there’s tons of space for everyone, so perfect for a large group. With 6 ensuite rooms the overall cost is less than hotels that are not even close to this standard! The views from the bedrooms are incredible with mountains at the front and back of the house and even though you’re close to the town centre, it’s pretty quiet here. Location-wise, it’s really convenient – only 4-5 mins walk from the square and a couple of miles from Puerto Soller and the beach accessible by most charming open train
We loved the interiors – lovely modern, and very large luxurious, bathrooms with Molton Brown toiletries adding a luxury touch. Cool mix of antiques and trendy furniture and some really interesting artwork throughout the house. High quality everything really – bedding, gorgeous pillows, fluffy white towels, lots of hanging space & hangers etc. We’re all foodies so we loved the kitchen – modern equipment and everything you could ever need. Loved the fact there are two dishwashers too!! Good wifi throughout – very important for me!! Cinema went down well with everyone too – huge screen and really good sound system.
Garden is not huge but perfect size to spend the day and there was plenty of space for us all and of course, the pool is the centre of activity! Upper terrace area is nice to hide away and soak up some sun, take in the views, or escape on your own to read.
Restaurants – really recommend Can Boqueta a few doors away – FANTASTIC and amazing value. Also Can Pintxos on the way to the square for lovely tapas and Sa Granja in the square – simple food but always really good. The supermarket is just a few mins walk away too and there is a nice butcher at the end of the road, lots of bakers in town for croissants and bread for the morning, etc.
You must do a day trip to Palma on the train too – such lovely scenery and a very cosmopolitan city. Kids would love it – and the tram between Soller and Puerto Soller. You can do a lovely trip on a boat from the Port up the spectacular North coast to Sa Calobra too.
Recommended for groups of friends, families – especially grandp
We have just spent a fab week staying at Cas Batlet. The house is beautiful and stylish and completely surpassed our expectations. The inside is bright and spacious with top quality furnishings from the linens to the superbly equipped kitchen. The outside area is private and works well with the different level terraces for sun and shade.
Cas Batlet is minutes from the centre of Soller with its restaurants and bars. We can recommend the local tapas restaurant, Ca'n Pintxo and Ca'n Boqueta which is only a stone's throw from the house. We hired a chef, Piers Dawson, for the last night and it was like being in our own Michelin restaurant.
Thanks so much to Andrew and Graham for providing us with such an amazing holiday home.
Activity and Interests
Special interest holidays:
Mallorca is a cycling and walking hotspot and Soller is at the centre of it all. The Tramuntana Mountain range, which Soller sits at the base of, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is full of walking routes for people of all abilities - from seasoned walkers to strollers. Many of the world's leading cycling teams train in Mallorca every year and keen cyclers can find many interesting challenging routes to take from a base in Soller. There are several cycle hire specialists n the area.
For food enthusiasts, Soller offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés and food stores as well as a wide selection of locally produced or grown products - citrus, preserves, olive oils, sobrasada
The nearest beach is at Puerto Soller - approx. 3km from the house. Accessible by road or the tram from central Soller, the port has sheltered sandy beaches and lots of cafes and restaurants along the promenade.
There are spectacular coves along this coastline. Cala Deia is 12km away and there are also small coves at Bens D'Avall and Llucalcari en route to Deia. North of Puerto Soller, a lovely boat trip takes you to Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra.
Nearest Airport is Palma de Mallorca (PMI), approximately 35km/30 minutes from Soller. There are many car hire options at the airport or a taxi to Soller will be about €50-60.
The main port in Palma is c.30km from Soller.
The town is well served by buses to Palma and across the island from there. The Soller train is a must-do excursion. This beautifully restored train travels to/from Palma 6 times a day through tunnels, olive and citrus groves with amazing scenery
Distances from the house:
Palma - 30km
Puerto Soller - 3km
Deia - 12km
Valldemosa - 23km
The house has two parking spaces in a private garage 50m from the house and there is on-street parking too. However, a car is not essential. For those who don’t want to drive, the house is a short stroll from the café’s, shops and restaurants in the town centre where you can pick up all your daily requirements. The main supermarket, a butchers and a corner shop are also a short walk away, and arguably Soller’s best restaurant (Can Boqueta) is a mere minute from our front door! The antique tram to the port of Soller and sandy beach leaves every half hour from beside the town square too.

The peaceful garden also features citrus trees and lovely old cycas palms. A gas barbecue is available.
