Penny McHale, Glossop:- Had a fantastic holiday - the apartment and sunbathing, patio/eating area is beautiful and very secluded so no onlookers to see you enjoy a sunbathe and cheeky glass of the delicious wine. The hosts are perfect and cannot do enough for you. Can't wait to go back next year

Janine Ashworth. Todminton: Absolutely stunning location with fantastic facilities. Enjoyed lakeside walks directly from the property with breath-taking views. It's a little piece of paradise and cannot wait to come back.

Val Peake, Stockport. Fantastic location - Peaceful, Loads of places to visit, love the local markets & quaint villages, handy for Bergerac airport. Best of all the hot, hot tub & warm welcome! Will definitely come back next year.

Gail Jackson, Glossop. Breath taking place what more could I say, just didn't want to come home. I could live there, so jealous. We had a great warm, polite, and fabulous friendly welcome. Fabulous place we can't wait to go back.

A lovely gite in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We received a very warm welcome from Garry and Louise. The gite was well equipped and comfortable. The outside area was lovely. We were able to leave our bikes in the garage which was accessible to us by an internal door and was very secure.

Eymet was a pure delight, great having a coffee and relaxing after a bike ride.

Would definately recommend this gite.

A very relaxing week

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful welcome from Gary and Louise and a basket of lovely local produce. They are great hosts and made us feel very welcome and we had the privacy of the gite and garden to enjoy and explore. The gite is well equipped and exactly what we were looking for. A great location for exploring the locality.

We were relaxed and refreshed by the end of our stay and if we are back in the area I will certainly book again.

Perfect relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location for relaxation in the Dordogne. Close to Eymet village. Well looked after by hosts Garry & Louise, who were very attentive to any needs we had. The Gite had everything we needed and was very well equipped. Highly recommended to those wanting peace and quiet, yet lots to see on the doorstep.

Great property with excellent facilities

  • 5 of 5

We arrived rather dazed after a long car journey to a very warm welcome and a fantastic welcome basket providing us with essentials for a evening snack and breakfast - an excellent touch.

The Gite is well equipped with large fridge, a freezer and cooker plus all the utensils you require. There is satellite TV with English channels which is nice to catch up on news or watch your favorite program after a long day out. The gite also has Wi Fi, essential for teenagers.

Outside their is a Jacuzzi which was a great as we had a heat wave whilst staying. There is also a gas barbecue and seating area.

The scenic village of Eymet is close by which has good bars, restaurants and shops. There are also some nice markets on certain morning and evenings.

A great location for a relaxing holiday or more active if you wish to go canoeing on Dordogne river or cycling around the local area.

Great location, gite and friendly owners

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. Fantastic, everything you need and more!

Lovely hamper on arrival with everything we needed to get started. Garry & Louise were on hand - I must thank Garry for his insights into moving to France - most useful and thought provoking.

La Junnel feels a million miles from anywhere - but is only 5 minutes out of Eymet and 25 mins from Bergerac. We easily visited St Emillion while there and various other spots.

Gite was clean, v well equipped and had everything we needed. Oscar (3yr old) already is asking "when we are going back to the holiday house".

Thanks again to Garry & Louise - hope to visit again when next in France

Brilliant Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We loved saying at the La Junnel. The owners Garry and Louise are genuine and lovely hosts. The apartment is in a beautiful private setting and offers an exceptionally high standard of accommodation both inside and outdoors. The fantastic weather allowed us to take full advantage of the outdoor facilities., the Jacuzzi and table tennis was a huge hit with our teenagers. The lake is beautiful and easily accessible from the property. Eymet is a pretty town that offers day and evening markets and also a great place to relax with a coffee. Bergerac and St Emillion are also nice places to visit. We would not hesitate recommend or return to La Junnel in the future. Many thanks.

From the Owner

We purchased the properties in 2012. The house is in a great location in the middle of the countryside with plenty of cycle routes and vineyards. It is a great place to experience the wildlife and night skies. The house is in a tranquil location, but within 5 minutes drives of villages and night life. The lake is a fantastic place and is used by walkers, horse riders and joggers. You may also find fisherman too. During the summer months, leisure activities take place on or around the lake like water skiing, cross country horse races etc There are lots of beautiful villages to go and visit and lots of activities within a 30 minutes drive of the property. We can arrange for bicycles to be here on your arrival of help you book canoeing trips of vieyards trips
