Self catering apartment in peaceful spot in Ilfracombe, North Devon, England - Peaceful Location, Free Parking, 5 Minutes' Walk To Tunnels Beach. Children And Dogs Welcome

The flat is on the first floor of a house built in the 19th century and has the high ceilings and gracious proportions of that era. It has a large double bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds, a spacious kitchen and a bright, cosy living room with TV and an open fire and a choice of books to read and useful maps of the local area. The flat has free wifi with good internet speeds. It is at the end of a quiet residential street, surrounded by trees and hills, and there is free off road parking for two cars just in front of the house. The North Devon Coastal path, Ilfracombe Harbour and a range of high street shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are within a few minutes' walk. Surfers and swimmers can easily access Woolacombe beach, and walkers will be spoilt for choice with Exmoor close by and the Devon and Cornish coast to explore.

I bought this flat three years ago, because Devon has always had a special place in my heart. The coast and the countryside around the town are so beautiful, and Ilfracombe itself has everything you need- shops, cafes, friendly people, good road links and above all an unspoilt, low key, friendly ambiance.

We stayed here for four nights have no complaites about our stay,you have all you need for a base to explore north Devon.The owner is very ocomadatting and friendly,highly recommend this apartment,only one anougin piont ,the rugs in property walk a lot.

The property was conveniently situated and accessible. It was pleasant, spacious and well kept but lacked a freezer or ice box and would benefit from updating; however, the bedrooms and lounge area in particular were very comfortable.

The centre of the town is in walking distance and offers a decent selection of cafes, pubs, supermarkets and restaurants. Bubble & Squeak (opposite Sonic Sound) is recommended for coffee and sandwiches.

The owner was helpful and accommodating. The stay was enjoyable.

Lovely cosy apartment

I stayed here with my daughter after arriving back from Australia. The owner was very accommodating with my various date changes. The location was lovely with good parking. Easy walk to town and sea front. Plenty of room, deceptively spacious . Lovely comfy beds. Highly recommended. Dog friendly too.

Lovely Home from Home Accommodation

We stayed at this property last year with our 3 young children and had such a lovely time that we have booked to stay here again! It is a great place to stay, within walking distance of the harbour, high street shops and the Tunnels beaches. The children went horseriding in the area, we took a short drive to the beautiful Woolacombe beach and had a wonderful stay in Ilfracombe. The flat itself is very spacious, clean, tidy, well equipped and quiet. We are all looking very forward to our trip there again soon! Highly recommend this property!

I find the apartment is a perfect base for enjoying and exploring the area or simply relaxing, reading, writing or working.There are lovely walks for dogs and their owners on the clifftops or the beaches, and plenty of places to visit on a rainy day too. We are near the wild spaces of Exmoor, the ancient fishing village of Lynmouth,the beach at Woolacombe and many other natural wonders, but the shops, independent art galleries, cafes and pubs of Ilfracombe are also great fun, good value and all within walking distance of the apartment.

1/2 mile to North Devon coastal walk and 1/2 mile to Tunnel's Beach. Woolacombe and other Devon /Cornish surfing beaches about 10 miles away.


Nearest airport: Bristol. Nearest railway station: Barnstaple. Frequent bus service to Ilfracombe from Barnstaple.Car not essential but recommended.Bikes and boats for rent locally.


Nearby places of interest: Exeter, Cornwall, Exmoor, Dartmoor.

Further Details:

Ilfracombe has a wide range of shops and places to eat , to suit all pockets and all tastes. Fishing trips and trips to Lundy Island are possible from the harbour; strenuous clifftop walks and less demanding, flatter walks are all close at hand. Ilfracombe is an unspoilt traditional family seaside resort with a quiet, slightly faded old fashioned charm, precipitously steep rocky cliffs, wonderful architecture and a small but vibrant harbour. The apartment forms a comfortable, relaxed and convenient base for getting to know Devon , one of the most popular and varied parts of the UK.
