The villa is located above the orange groves just outside the typically Spanish market town of Oliva, but relatively close to the undiscovered, wide sandy blue flag beaches. An ideal location for exploring the culture and shopping of Valencia. The fantastic harbour's of Denia, Javea or Oliva offer a wide range of water sports for you to enjoy. If Golf is your preference there is an award winning golf course a short drive away in Oliva nova, or you may prefer to just relax with magnificent views by the private pool and enjoy a cocktail from your own bar.

Notes on accommodation: Car is essential to explore and get around and can be picked up at both Alicante and Valencia Airports There are a large selection of other bars and restaurants in Oliva town 10 minutes drive, or La Font den Carros. Nearest Supermarket, Oliva Town. Outside: Large Private Pool and terrace, with private bar, BBQ, sun loungers and dining table. The Pool terrace enjoys sunshine all day and evening. The Bar is equipped with a small fridge freezer, bar stools and sufficient glasses. Utility Room: Washing Machine, Iron and Ironing Board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels provided, the villa will be cleaned prior to your arrival and changed weekly. No beach towels will be provided. Departure time is 10am, Villa available from 3pm. Other: There is air conditioning in the lounge with large ceiling fans in all bedrooms.

A great place to relax

A very clean and well maintained villa positioned on a very steep hill which as a result offers incredible views. Felt at home straight away. The villa has some great places to sit and eat with a great swimming pool which was maintained very regularly. The owners' communication was excellent, and they were very accommodating in allowing us to stay for an additional four hours which was much appreciated. Would I go back? Definitely.

Great villa in a non tourist area

Be aware English is not widely spoken in this area.

A car is necessary.

Not suitable for people with limited mobility.

A really good well equipped villa, great pool fantastic views,

Outstanding villa

We consider this to be the best equipped villa we have stayed in with real attention to detail. From the onset the owners provided excellent communication. The view from the terraces is spectacular and provided sunshine and welcome shade. The pool and bar area is very well maintained. We are a family with 2 teenagers and spent the majority of our time relaxing by the pool area. The nearest town is only a 5 minute drive away and has an excellent supermarket. We were sad to go home and would recommend this villa.

Relaxing stay in villa with beautiful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Avalon. The property was exactly as described, clean, well presented and well-equipped. Communication with Alan and Julie was excellent throughout. As the villa is situated high on a hillside there is a steep drive up to it but the views from the balcony and the pool more than make up for this. We absolutely loved sitting out and eating meals on the balcony with the view down to the sea and across to the mountains. The use of space by the pool is extremely well thought out, the provision of a fridge in the bar, a changing room with toilet / sink and second dishwasher and a pool shower, together with the bar itself, loungers and tables and chairs make this area very well equipped and remove the need to go to and from the villa. It was very quiet as the neighbouring villas on the hillside were largely second homes for Spanish families and were unoccupied for much of our stay. Gandia, a short drive to the north offers bars, shops and market sellers if you want life at night. Above all we were delighted by the beaches - mile after mile of golden sand, with very gentle slopes into a very clear sea. If you are looking for a relaxing break then I couldn't recommend this villa more.

lovely villa with spectacular views

We knew we would have a wonderful holiday even before we left the UK; Alan and Julie's correspondence with us in preparation for the holiday was great, even thoughtfully emailing us the week before to let us know about a new supermarket and pop-up beach bar.

Even having looked at the pictures many times, nothing prepares you for the spectacular views - it truly is a villa in the sky with panoramic sea views.

The villa is decorated in a lovely relaxed beach style; clean and well maintained. The bar area is such a great feature by the pool as is having the fridge, loo and sink area down by the pool.

For a completely relaxing, away from it all holiday (which is what we were looking for) I couldn't fault it. If I was going to find one negative it is that the only restaurant we found within walking distance of the villa was closed for the duration of our stay. I don’t know if it hasn’t opened for the season yet or closed permanently (it appears to be for sale) so you need to drive or take a taxi if you want to eat out.

Alan and Julie you have a beautiful home in Spain - we are very jealous!

A great first experience on owners direct!

Totally echo everyones opinions below - this is a great villa and the photos do not do it justice. We came in from Valencia airport and although its about an hours drive it would not be easier. Getting up the hill was a bit hairy, but then once you reach the villa it is totally worth it, the views are to die for. This was my first time using owners direct and I was definitely nervous about it, but Alan was communicative throughout the whole process and I would definitely use the website again.. and am trying to rally the troops to head back to this villa next year too! Thanks for having us.
