The property has a private balcony off the main bedroom as well as the main terrace being situated just off the lounge. The property is managed by a local English couple who will be able to advise and help during your stay if any problems. A welcome pack on arrival is available at request for an additional charge payable on your arrival. Airport transport can be arranged if requested.

About the Owner

A favourite hobby of mine is travel and I have travelled many parts of the world however Greece has always been a particularly favourite location of mine. When ever I visit our home there it always feel very much of a home from home visit and we enjoy the freedom we have of not having to get dressed for certain times or some evenings we don't get dressed as we are able to shower and put our lounge clothes on and enjoy the local beer and our own BBQ sat on our own private terrace and as we overlook a back road we don't even have the thru flow of traffic either.

Great location, tired apartment in need of attenti

Prior to arrival I had liaised with the named contact for transfers and was told that because of it being a particularly busy time transfers were taking a lot longer than usual. It did tale over two hours and with no air conditioning in the car it wasn't particularly pleasant.

The apartment itself was okay, a little dark with no view to speak of and in need of some tlc. However, it was five minute's from the beach and near the square and all its facilities, so it was fine for our purposes as we didn't cook or stay in at all.

Mike (the transfer contact) had told us we needed to leave very early to get to the airport on our last day as he was again worried about traffic. In fact we left at 08.30 for a flight at 1.15 p.m. We arrived at the airport at around 09.50 a.m. and as we had so long to wait, wandered down to arrivals where we saw our driver assisting another family who had arrived with their transfer. In short, we had left early to accommodate his time frame.

The irony is that had he been honest with us, we would have probably agreed anyway, but his duplicity has led to me posting this as part of the review as I feel it is pertinent given he was recommended by the owner.

Fantastic for children

We have young children and this apartment was perfect. Close to the beach and the pool at the nearby hotel. Loads to do at night for the kids, soft play areas, go karts, parks etc in the day there are water sports on the beach and the garden to the apartment is enclosed so perfect for the kids to play games / ball games. The beach was nice and clean, again brilliant for the children. The apartment is only an hours drive from the hotel so not too long for the kids to be stuck in the car. Will definitely be visiting again. The apartment was nice and clean, in a quiet location (so kids didn't get woken in the night) and it's a lovely walk into the square. I would definitely recommend this apartment! We loved every minute. Can't wait for next year!

hanioti stay

Had a lovely holiday in this typically greek apartment. It was out of season and relatively quiet but we had a lovely time. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and the square a 10 min walk away. We hired a car and visited many of the unspoilt beaches around the penninsular. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a relaxed, chilled out apartment close to the main square with all its amenities we can only imagine available during the season, Hanioti is definitely a place to try if you have not been before.

We bought our holiday home in Halkidik as it is a beautiful part of the mainland of Greece and in years gone by has been a wonderful holiday location for us. Particularly we enjoy our home as it is easily accessible to the village square for the more active and lively night but if we want to have a quiet evening at home we can sit on our terrace and not know anybody else is around as it is so quiet enjoying a BBQ and a game of cards. Being so close to the village and supermarket means we dont have to rely on transport to take us anywhere for any of these amenities as everything is in walking distance. Halkidiki is a very flat village meaning that those that have some difficulty walking uphill are not a feature of the village unless walking up to the main road on the top.

Thessaloniki Airport approx 1 hours drive by car. Car rental is recommended. We can let you have details for how to get to the apartment if you drive (it is very straightforward) and you will be greeted upon arrival at the apartment to explain everything.


50m to the beach and the Hotel Naias, 10 minute walk to the main square with restaurants and bars, 10 minute walk to the large supermarket, minutes to the small bakery with fresh bread and pastries and basic essentials.

Further Details:

The nearest bank is in Kallithea which is approximately 20 kilometres away, but cash points are accessible in the main square and supermarket. There are also boat trips locally to the neighbouring peninsulas. Boat hire available on the beach and water sports activities. Doctors and pharmacy in the main square, the main bus route is accessible on the top main road and will take you direct to Thessaloniki. Local taxi service which is English speaking

50% deposit payable upon booking and final balance due 4 weeks prior to arrival. A deposit of 200E will be held to cover any damages to the property and is payable on arrival to the property. Any damages under 20E will be non-chargeable but anything over the 200E deposit will be payable by the guest(s).

From the Owner

Close to the local 4 star hotel for the pool facilities but likewise minutes from the beach if this is what we prefer meaning we have the best of both options. Buying on the mainland as meant we have always had all year round access to our property and as we have the open fire and electric heaters this does not restrict us to visit in summer months. We often visit in the winter season and enjoy the remoteness of the village as it is very empty due to most properties being second/third homes for the locals that live and work in the city of Thessaloniki who do not visit at this time of year.
