Les Vieilles Ecuries (the 'Old Stables') is a beautifully renovated former farmhouse with attached barn and with two separate gites. Farriers Workshop has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom; it is well furnished and equipped and has its own terrace with BBQ, umbrella and garden furniture. The Workshop on the ground floor has a large open plan living space with a 4.20x2.20 m fitted kitchen and a 6x4 m lounge/dining, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Upstairs there is the mezzanine leading to the 3.20x5 m twin bedroom. The adjoining gîte (Farriers Cottage – sleeps 6) can be rented in combination with this Farriers workshop. What are the unique benefits of the property? The property is set at edge of the hamlet on a 3.5 acre garden, with lovely uninterrupted views of the green rolling landscape and valley. The property has a fenced 10x5 m pool. We provide pool towels and umbrellas so you can travel light and make the most of the pool. Two villages nearby offer basic amenities: baker, butcher, mini market, pharmacy, bar and restaurants.
The cottages, each with their own private terrace and BBQ, are well furnished and equipped.

We love the this part of the Dordogne because of its beautiful countryside. The Perigord-Limousin natural park with forests, fields, rivers and many lakes and ponds create a wonderful setting. Whilst having easy access to all the wonderful attractions of the Dordogne, it is away from the tourist crowd and is the perfect place to relax with family and friends.

For those who enjoy a more active holiday, there are ample opportunities for walking and hiking, cycling, horse riding, tennis, fishing or canoeing in the area. Brantome, known as the Venice of the Dordogne, is only 30 km away and slightly further afield is the beautiful medieval-renaissance city of Perigueux.
Bookings can be done by contacting the owners by email. We request a 25% deposit of the the total amount to confirm the booking . The remainder is to be paid at the latest 6 weeks before the arrival date. If you make your reservation within 6 weeks before the arrival date, the total amount is to be be paid in full.
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival is at the earliest 4.00 pm; departure is at the latest at 10.00 am.
Notes on prices:
If both gites are booked together, there are connecting doors, thus providing accommodation for 10 persons, a discount of 10% is given on the above prices.
