House in Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors, England - Walk To The Beach In Just 2 Minutes

Built in the 1930’s, the house has an entrance hall leading to the lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is also a downstairs toilet off the entrance hall. The lounge has sea views and comfortable leather sofas to relax on at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The dining room looks out through the conservatory to the garden and has a dining table with seating for up to 8 people. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and has glorious views out to sea, it’s lovely to sit in the bay window and watch the ships pass by. There is a second bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with 2 single beds and a hand basin. The family bathroom room has shower over the bath, hand basin and wc. The fully enclosed garden at the rear has a garden table and 2 benches and there is a barbecue for use on summer evenings. There is a garden to the front of the house with gravelled parking space for up to 3 cars.

Location

I bought this property because I fell in love with the sea views from the front of the house. No matter what the weather, there is always something to watch and the sea can change by the minute. The sunsets in the summer are spectacular. It is one of the few places in England where the sun rises and sets in the sea in the summer months. The house is easy to find and it has parking for 3 cars which is a real advantage in Whitby!

The town centre of Whitby is approximately 15 minutes walk from the property.

The house is close to local shops, restaurant, Post Office, pub and takeaways. A pleasant stroll along the cliff top takes you into the town centre via Captain Cook’s statue and the Whale Bone Arch. There are branches of all the major banks in the town centre. Whitby has an excellent, nationally-renowned range of restaurants and eating places.There is a large Sainsbury's store on the outskirts of Whitby. The property is ideally placed for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the city of York and the Yorkshire Dales.

The property is convenient for the town but not in the bustle of the narrow streets. It has open views and is only 2 minutes walk from the beach. That's a real advantage if you have children. Whitby itself is a great place from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and all that the surrounding countryside has to offer.
