The ‘balcony’ apartment has a bedroom with comfortable twin beds, duvets, extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom has bath, pressure shower, heated towel rail and soft towels. The living area has a well equipped kitchen, a dining area and sitting room area with a polished chestnut floor giving a ‘home’ feeling. There is a comfortable sofa and armchair, coffee table, reading lamps, bookcase and TV with Sky News and Spanish channels. The entire front wall of the sitting room is of glass – windows and french doors leading onto the balcony. The very substantial wood balcony with garden furniture runs the full width of the apartment. It’s perfect for eating out, relaxing, bird-watching and enjoying the magnificent view. The entire apartment is centrally heated. The apartment is for 2 people – either friends or a couple but is not suitable for children.
Comfort is the by-word – high quality twin beds, duvets, cotton sheets, soft towels with central heating throughout but cool in summer. Fully equipped kitchen, high pressure shower, heated towel-rails etc. This part of the Liébana Valley remains unspoilt with first rate walking, climbing, bird-watching and wild flowers. The coast with its white sandy beaches is only an hour away through the dramatic Hermida Gorge.

We ask for a 25% deposit to confirm the booking and the balance is payable on arrival. In the event of cancellation less than 8 weeks before your stay the deposit is not refundable.
Changeover day is flexible and we can give you a travel account number which will give you a discount of 20% when booking a Brittany Ferries crossing to Santander or Bilbao. (25% until 31/10/2014)
Notes on prices:
Prices are for the apartment and not per person. Also your stay with us can normally start on any day of the week to allow you to take advantage of cheaper mid-week airfares. There is a refundable deposit of €60 for the small apartments and €120 for the 2 bedroom apartment against breakages or extra cleaning.
I would recommend this place to people who would like to stay in a typically Spanish rural setting in the beautiful Picos de Europa mountains, with easy access to good walks,stunning scenery and not such a long drive to the beautiful sandy beaches.
The property was extremely well maintained and very clean and tidy when we arrived upon which we were warmly greeted by Richard our host (even though we arrived quite late at night).
A car is essential to make the most of the attractions in the area and be prepared to do a fair amount of driving however, the spectacular views are worth it!
We stayed here for a week and loved the peaceful location and the view from our sitting room, terrace and bedroom. The apartment is very well set up and as there are several apartments and a communal lounge and bbq area it would make a fantastic location for a family or group to holiday together.
We rented Property 18847 in the Picos De Europa Mountains for the first week of May, having found it on a search of your site. The site has a lot to choose from and it made our decision on where to go very difficult. Olmares, up in the mountains, was our final decision and what a good one that turned out to be. Our hosts Richard and Suzanne were absolutely fabulous, such good hosts, always on hand but never in your face, and both a fountain of knowledge. The facilities were amazing, the standard of accommodation far exceeded our expectations. The directions to get there were spot on and the location was great. Sitting on the balcony all day just looking at the mountains around us was the perfect way to unwind. The walks around the area were great, although neither of us are great walkers, it was great fun to explore. The area is quite spectacular and the wild life exciting to watch. We would definately recommend the property to others. Thanks to everyone for helping to make our holiday the best we’ve ever had.

Het appartement is zeer rustig gelegen in een gehucht met enkel wat huizen. Een auto is beslist noodzakelijk. Het appartement is compleet ingericht en comfortabel. Fijn is het dat er extra ruimtes zijn die je als huurder kunt gebruiken waaronder de binnenplaats waar schaduw en zon is. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is prachtig. We hebben er fijne dagen gehad.
