Cottage sleeps 2-4 in the centre of Tavira with private sun terrace.

Sleeps 2-4. Very pretty renovated traditional cottage located in the centre of Tavira. With a private roof terrace enjoying views of the atmospheric streets of Tavira and excellently positioned in the heart of the vibrant City and within walking distance of a fabulous selection of cafes and restaurants and all amenities. An absolute advantage is the few minute walk to the boat taking you to the fabulous Island beach!

Lovely cottage with twin beds on the first floor and twin Sofa Beds located in the lounge. Ground floor bathroom with bath and fitted shower in the bath.

The kitchen is a fully fitted country style kitchen with an electric oven, hob & fridge.

The living room -dining space is open plan with two sofas (option of Sofa bed use) a caned cushion seat and a table and two chairs for dining.

Double access front and back to the street both from the kitchen area as well as the front & rear.

Bathroom towels and bed linen are provided, but not beach towels. A cleaning service is provided at the end of a one-week stay, and a change of bed linen and towels is provided in the middle of a two-week stay. Each room has fans for cool air and heaters for winter.

Option for larger parties to rent also the 2 Bedroom cottage next door which sleeps 4.

The cottage is perfect for one or two persons, bright and very tastefully renovated, with a big terrace, everything is new and clean, nice big bathroom, the kitchen modern and with all necessary equipment, maybe one or two good kitchen knives would be useful. The location is central, there is a small supermarket just around the corner, the market is a few minutes away and the river with the ferry taking one to the beautiful beach as well. The area is quiet. Altogether is was a wonderful holiday, Kate was there to hand over the keys and the request to rent the cottage and all questions were answered quickly.

Thanks very much and hope I to come to beautiful Tavira and cottage again.

Nice little cottage central to Tavira

Lovely little cottage, ideally located in the centre of Tavira. Balcony is excellent for relaxing in the sun. While there was no air conditioning, the bedroom was on the first floor and cool in September. Tavira is beautiful and we will be back again!

Perfect location in the heart of the City with all amenities within walking distance within this local everyday Portuguese community and the bonus of a private roof terrace.

Nearest Airport : Faro Airport at 40 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Tavira Nearest Ferry : Tavira at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Benamor Tavira at 3 Kilometres Nearest Train : Tavira at 3 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A22 Tavira at 5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Tavira Nearest Beach : Tavira at 1 Kilometres Car: not necessary


The Island beach of Ilha de Tavira is a 10 minute boat ride away from the City. The boat is located within a 5 minute walk of the properties. This is a fabulous beach with miles of sand, cafes bars and restaurants. Alternatively within driving distance of 15 minutes you have a further selection of fantastic beaches.


Faro Airport is a 30 minute driveaway or 45 minutes by a secondary road. A car is not essential for these properties and transfers can be arranged.


The properties are Central to Tavira City and all amenities plus the large shopping centre on the outskirts. Nearby you have the popular fishing Villages of Santa Luiza or Cabanas which are a bike ride or short drive away either side of the City with an excellent selection of restaurants. There are a good selection of towns to explore towards the Spanish border which is a 20 minute drive away. Seville is under 2 hours away whilst Faro offers good shopping facilities for a day out.

Further Details:

There is a good selection of Supermarkets, Chemists, Banks, Cafe bars and Restaurants all located within easy walking distance of the properties. There is a selection of shops offering Bike hire and a choice of boat trips offering fishing, bird watching or sight seeing days. The City offers Spa services for those wanting to indulge in some pampering.
