Cottage in Fairlight, Nr. Hastings, Sussex, England - Cliff Top Location With Amazing Views
This victorian coast guard cottage sits high on top on the cliff in acres of country parkland. With spectacular views from every window ! A paradise for walkers, it also has the benefit of being 10 mins drive from Hastings Old Town with its famous fishing community, eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, beach and rail link to london and brighton. 15 mins in the other direction takes you to the beautiful clique port town of Rye and the white sand beach at Camber beyond.

About the Owner
Our family bought the cottage four years ago,we love this area and we never tire of coming here. We all enjoy a shopping trip to Hastings especially my teenage daughter, as there are great vintage shops and a bargain can still be found!!! Fish and chips at 'Maggies' in an old fishermans hut is a must. (definitely the best we've ever tasted) . Rye is also a favourite this time with my younger son, as it has two old fashioned sweet shops to choose from, and an amazing church tower to climb. But for views you can't beat the cottage and I often find my self staring out of windows entranced..... On a clear night you can see the lights of France twinkling across the sea. Last but not least, 'Stanley'our dog is in heaven chasing rabbits along the cliff top, and the birds across the beach.

My family had the most wonderful time. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and had everything you needed. I would highly recommend a stay here. Lots to do for all ages around the area.
Wonderful cottage in amazing location
Approaching the cottage we thought we are totally wrong until we ended up on the very top of the cliff at a couple of small houses. One of the middle ones is this amazing cottage. The moment we entered it, we loved it. It is simply beautiful, cosy, tidy and just perfect. Karen put so much love in all the details, and there is everything you need to have a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Karen even thought about adapters for the electricity for people like us, who come form the continent, although we brought some of our own. We love cooking and found everything we needed. The weather was great, so we also made good use of the barbecue in the garden. From the rooms in the first and second floor you can see the sea, and my wife loved it to take a bath and enjoy this stunning view at the same time. The area is perfect for hiking and spending days out in the nature. But it is also only a few minutes drive to the next grocery shop. The wifi was of top quality, which was important for our daughter, and also our little dog enjoyed the stay. We spent ten very relaxing days in this wonderful cottage and are very open to return at another occasion. We can highly recommend this cottage and would like to thank Karen for her swift and efficient support while booking.
Perfect clifftop cottage
The cottage has the advantage of a fantastic location with views of the coast for miles front and back. However, the cottage itself is beautifully finished and furnished, and makes it easy to be at home straight away. All the information supplied and the little touches of bread, jam etc. just make for an excellent experience. Would love to come back sometime.
Beautiful, stylish cottage in stunning location
What a wonderful surprise as you open the door into this gorgeous cottage. Karen, the owner has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, cosy and welcoming. Thank you for all the goodies that were left for us. Lovely touch. The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean and warm. Despite the awful weather we had it didn't matter as once inside we don't want to venture too far away. The location is superb perched on the top of cliffs with great sea views from every window. The walks straight from the cottage are fantastic. The whole booking process with Karen was fast efficient and so easy. I thoroughly recommend this cottage and really look forward to returning. Thank you Karen.
What a beautiful place to stay. The location is stunning with sea views all around. Fabulous walks right from the door which our dogs loved. The house has a lovely feel to it complimented by decor. The view from the bath is to die for! Owner was also a pleasure to deal with. Thoroughly recommended and we will return. Thank you Karen!
The cottage is exactly as shown and described. The interior is clean and decorated beautifully. It was spacious and equipped enough for 6 of us.
The views and walks are really spectacular and are right outside the front door.
The fires were great to light in the wind and rain ,the house has a great atmosphere!.
You would benefit from having a car but the taxi was reasonable into Hastings and the Maradi Gras was a good surprise!
We had a great time here!
